lmao this kid has no quickness and his release is slow. im sorry but wong zz will rip him a new a-hole in a nba game. if we want another chinese player there are tons of guards on the chinese national team that are better than this kid.

Wait, Lowry had one injury this past year and now he is "injury prone?"

Do you some of you guys read what you write before you click "Post?"

Please stop saying dont match KL. It would be stupid not to match. Even if we dont want to pay him that amount, we still have to match the contract offer. His market value is now set and now we know what other teams feel he is worth. If the contract is too rich for our blood as a backup pg then we trade him to one of the teams that felt he is worth 6mil per year. You dont let an asset walk without getting a return on investment. Its not an option, we have to match.

YES.... Jeremy Lin , or who me call the Great One not named Yao. JL is greater than Lowery right now. He is guard point of greatness. Like the tiger jumping at his opponents and jumping to soar thru the air for Jordan-like slam dunk.
Give him contract for $40mil. YES

He's a decent player I would say he would make a good 3rd PG on this team. He's big for a PG 6'3-6'5(depending on where you look) and plays very good defense. He could be used in a Hayes type defensive specialist role to come in and guard the big PGs that Aaron and Kyle have trouble with. His downside is that he is not a facilitator or a scorer. He is more of a slasher/shooter type of PG which would require you to have a scoring 2 guard(Tmac type) with him on the court or your offense will get very stagnant. I think he's worth a look at just like I thought Temple/Conroy were worth a look at last year. He could definitely fill a role here because we are still needing that third PG.

i haven't seen Lin plays much, but the one summer league game that i saw him played he looks like he can crack a rotation on an nba team. His game is pretty similar to Lowry and Mchale had alot of praises for this kid. If we don't match Lowry's offer, i wouldn't mind having Lin on the team.

Don't be hating guys..if anything if he looked like JJ Redick or Luke Walton or Steve NOvak etc you'd develop him in the nba for 4 years or more..but because he's Asian American teams don't even consider him.

It's been 64 years since the Crimson appeared in the NCAA tournament. But thanks to senior guard Jeremy Lin, that streak could end this year. Lin, who tops Harvard in points (18.1 per game), rebounds (5.3), assists (4.5) and steals (2.7), has led the team to a 9-3 record, its best start in a quarter-century. Lin, a 6 ft. 3 in. slasher whose speed, leaping ability and passing skills would allow him to suit up for any team in the country, has saved his best performances for the toughest opponents: over his past four games against teams from the Big East and the Atlantic Coast Conference, two of the country's most powerful collge-basketball leagues, Lin is averaging 24.3 points and shooting nearly 65% from the field. "He's as good an all-around guard as I've seen," says Tony Shaver, the head coach of William and Mary, which in November lost a triple-overtime game to Harvard, 87-85, after Lin hit a running three-pointer at the buzzer. "He's a special player who seems to have a special passion for the game. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the NBA one day."

And if he wasn't Chinese American you wouldn't be talking about him. I don't think anyone wants any of the white players you listed.. maybe DD for JJ.

I really hope Morey tries out this untouched potential of a player instead of signing scrubs from the nbdl. GOod pg's are so rare these days and if we spent millions on a second rounder like Jermaine Taylor ..why can't we give a chance to a cheap option like JEremy Lin? HE was a star in his team with proven slashing ability.

Indeed, MOrey's made some nice moves for the rockets, but his aura and genius is quickly fading out this season. IF he actually heard Rocket fans voices and didn't try to be mr original all the time maybe he would of gotten al jeffferson or al harrington or even richard jefferson back in the day.

I am all in for a 3rd string PG.....

    He fits the Rocket mentality

    1. Cheap
    2. Plays Hard
    3. Plays Smart

I like that he had to overcome a lot of adversity to get where he is, its speaks volume if given the time and patience he could be a solid backup PG in the future.

WEll you can't deny that there's a bunch of white scrubs in the nba who were given years to develop just because they were stars in their college teams. I.E jj redick lol. ANd there's plenty of black players who are scrubs too in the nba..but they were given a chance to develop.
