His wreckless style of play he will continue to get hurt. He's a type of player that if you give him consistant starter minutes he can only give you 50-60 games for a season. The problem is that is the style that makes him effective he needs to be a backup to play closer to a full season.
i am probably one of the few who saw him play against the rockets in the summer league. the only thing i notice is almost every play he was getting pull over by the coach cus he did something wrong... no thanks.
haha, what a funny thread made me LOL. kyle will be severely offended if we replaced him with an unknown PG. i'm pretty sure DM will match, maybe that is why Rockets have been slow to make FA moves, perhaps they were anticipating moves like this on our RFAs
I love this idea. He is pretty smart and raw http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=182060&page=1&pp=20 Heard some teams were interested in picking him up at 2nd round, but did not happen. Not bad to pick up him at undraft for 3rd PG
nice thread....although i suggested the exact same thing a few hours ago in the "cavs signed Lowry" thread (so i assumed you read it, or just think the same way i do).
It's a pretty good suggestion...he seems to finish quite well and has a pretty complete game...except he seems more like an undersized SG than a PG. He doesn't pass or create well enough to replace Lowry. Although...6m/year for Lowry vs 200kish? for Lin? Might not be such a bad idea.

Aside from being incorrect on Lowry being injury prone or overpaid, you pointed out "chinese american" as a basketball attribute. That's a pretty weak argument right there. What does chinese american have anything to do with the NBA other than your own apparent fascination?
Jeremy Lin does play a similar style to Kyle Lowry, but with a much better jump shot. I would love the Rockets to give Lin a try here!
I think Lin could be a solid 3rd PG. But Rockets are unlikely to carry a 3rd PG on the roster. And while Lin may be serviceable, he's not worth cutting a Mike Harris or Alexander Johnson from the team to make room for. I hope he gets a shot at the NBA somewhere and develops further. His summer league performances were solid, better than I expected given the talent and athleticism adjustment from playing the the Ivy League. Wishing him the best!
Maybe Miami will sign him. Anybody that can shoot the ball can play PG for that team, backup PG at least.
lol What is this ninja smoking? You know the op has to be chinese. If Jeremy Lin was white or black and not a ninja, this thread wouldn't be here. It's cool that a Ninja-American has a short at the NBA but he's unproven.
