Oh I agree, the Rockets have a long way to go to reach their destination. But it looks like these were the only deals for them this year outside of trading to get Mayo and I'm assuming Morey just doesn't like him too much. Some say we shoulda got Perk but this is how I look at that. Perkins is going to be a FA. He's getting like 4mil right now, he's going to want more. OKC is going to have to pay the guy, if they don't want to someone will. Perkins can be had for the right price. If he was willing to leave Boston for money then he'd be willing to leave OKC for money too.
Yes, I think these are great deals. We gave up two guys we weren't going to keep anyways and got two first round picks and a PG who looks decent. Not sure what you were expecting.
