Battier, Brooks and Hayes for Artest.
If that trade happens, then we are on the top of the world.

I know the sample size isn't that big (4-5 games), but since the Toyota Center has been in Houston, Artest has shot 53.3% from the field, 70.8% from 3-pt, and 80% from FT. The depth perception problem must actually help his shot instead of hinder it!!!

Artest would be a piece that would take the Rockets to at the very least the Western Conference finals.

I just hate giving up Brooks.

You can uncross youre fingers now. :D Some need to go back and look at what you thought it would take to make this deal work. I did! It just shows none of us really know jack when it comes to making a trade in the NBA.

If someone here had suggested we would get Artest for Jackson, cash and our 1st round draft pick they would of been blasted off this board with rude comments. Maybe looking back will help keep our future prognosis and responses to such in perspective.

We should remain opmistic, but not ahead ourselves. We thought Swift was the missing piece too. We all know how that turned out.

While I love the addition of Artest I still have major doubts for next season. We did lack athleticism and agressiveness and all that good stuff, however I rmr watching last yr our 3pt % plummet from the yr b4. I love Artest's game but idk how reliable his outside shot is. to help space the floor id feel better with a dead eye shooting PG out there with him. I love Artest but it seems like the paint might be getting too congested. I admit tho that I havent seen to much of Artests games in awhile. Can anyone comment on his outside shot. I thought I rmr reading his % was 33 from there.

He is not the best 3pt shooter but he is capable and has hit clutch shots in the past.

We also signed a Mr. Brent Barry to help in that department.

Barrys well and dandy but out of the core rotation players i only see him and Shane hitting the oustide shot consistently. I love Rafers continuity, but I'd sleep easier if he could just manage 2 hit close 2 40% on a small sample of 3's. That way n the starting line up we have sum1 2 stretch the D 2 let Yao oper8, McG drive, and Ronnie 2 bull through. In my opinion Scola better show that midranger soon 2 help open up lanes
