You had to wait 9 years for Joyce Dewitt to do something stupid. You should have gone with Lindsey Lohan.
Did anyone(other than kam) even know who the hell Lindsey Lohan was 9 years ago? lulz.... sorry kam, you know I had to say it
Actually, even to this day, one of the funniest things I ever saw on TV was in the first episode of that show. Jack arrives at the apartment place to see about renting an apartment, and the landlord (Hurley? I forget) happened to be inside, up in a ladder, working on the wiring to the doorbell. So Jack rings the doorbell, and Hurley, holding the wires, screams. Jack looks puzzled, and rings the doorbell again, more screams. It was just hilarious as I remember it, best doorbell in the world. LOL
It was "Furley," and he wasn't even on the show yet. It was the Ropers. You have a bad recollection of your funniest TV memory.
No I know Don Knotts' character was Furley, I just couldn't remember the Ropers' name. But yes, that definitely was in the pilot episode.
Love that show. Think of all the shows since the 70s and for how many people that was their peak. Now granted many probably went on to productive lives and have great families etc. But many that was the best they had it.
Joyce, nice to hear from you again, and thank you for setting the record straight. Although you seldom post on this board, your timing is impeccable as always. Take care.
Dude, the landlord was Mr. Roper... Mr. Furley didn't come until later! And I remember that episode but was it the first one? Hmm..... I still love watching that show. Hilarious stuff. John Ritter was a great physical comedian.
I know, I know that! I just forgot Roper's name, I know Don Knotts didn't come along until later!! Forgive me for I have internet-sinned!
