Don't be surprised if we get blowed out by the Spurs either. Because we played really raunchy the last game and the refs are making it a lot worse. There's plenty of reason to believe it will be the same Saturday.
Exactly, except for one thing: The team has some problems that need to be adressed by Rick Adelman and also by the players.
Denniscd (Adelman's wife) you need to quit making excuses. Its a joke. We can't even take care of business against the cellar dwellers of the East! And don't even try and give me the McGrady is out BS. 2000-2001 Houston Rockets They went undefeated against the ENTIRE CENTRAL DIVISION of cellar dwellers with Steve Francis, Cuttino Mobley, Mo Taylor and freaking Walt Williams leading the way. That motley crew of mediocre players (at best) took care of business. But lets make excuses for Adelman. Ya... Whatever. Get out of bed with the problem and open your eyes. Please leave your husband Mrs Adelman. You can do better.
No way of spinning this game. By far the worst, worst lost of the season. This was ripe for the taking. A down team (7 game losing streak), 2nd night of back-to-back, 16 point lead, 11 going into the 4th, and playing at home with 3 days rest. Wow, words cannot explain. And Mcgrady has nothing to do with this game. There was more than enough talent to win walking away. They just "let-up" and gave away a must win. Yes, must win game. Every game is important if you are the 10th spot looking up at the best division in the NBA. I really don't think the Rockets have it in them to make it out of this mess. This game will haunt them the rest of the season. No heart? Yep. No talent? Nope. And for the record, Yao somehow doesn't have the "it", the clutch, in him. That's 8 for 8 in the first 3 quarters and O for 3 for the 4th, and 3 good shots too! Not to mention the team made at least 3 TO trying to get him the ball. That's 6 possessions that netted them NOTHING. A 11 point lead can go away pretty quickly under those curcumstances. And it sure didn't help that the other player couldn't hit a shot in the 4th either. Head lost his aim in the 4th and never put on his brain. So when his shots are missing in the 4th, please for the love of all that's good, take him out. He cannot pass, makes bonehead mistakes, and doesn't play good defense. If he is missing, he is "missing" out there.
Don't be so hopeful against the return of TMac. All players returning from injury have rust that comes with the rest. I am not surprised if TMac has a low %FG against the team he first play after the injury. If Tmac comes back without rust (which is rare), then we have chance against SAS.
Don't be surprise when we beat the Spur then lose a couple after. Win some then lose some is who we are. Consistency is the must have to be one of the elite. Frankly we just don't have the mental durability to get there. Having Tmac back will help but hopefully players won't stand around and spectate.
At Orlando? I know it was close, but I thought that was one of the best defensive performances the Rockets had had. That and Yao getting his over the new "best center".
