    First ever playoff game and it showed..... dude was terrified right from the tip and you could tell just looking in his eyes...... smh.... kinda sad actually....

    People need to understand Ariza is still a premium defender, especially in the playoff.

    No matter if he will be on Oladipo or Westbrook, he did a fine job tonight.

    I honestly don't know if less Kanter is better or worse for us cause while he sucks at defense he's like their only option when Westbrook rests. Love the job they did making him look like a fool though.

    I'm no expert, but to say "blame" I think his lips would have to close right before saying "Kanter", and they don't.

    EDIT: Just saw Dr of Dunk's post above. Great minds or whatever. :eek:

    Kanter is one of the worst big men defenders out there. Everytime he is on the court Rockets should make a concerted effort to attack him. Must be the highest percentage shot in the NBA, an open lay up 9 out of 10 times.

    Kanter is a horrible defender.

    That said Donovan does absolutely no coaching up of anyone. We've found ways to play Anderson very successfully and not only can he not defend, he can't rebound either. Plus it's not like Adams or Gibson or anyone on their team was able to stop pnr action.

    Oladipo is getting paid $21 million next year.
    Adams $25 million.
    Russ played BAD.
    Kanter was really bad too but not their biggest issue.

    Finally, teams are forced to adjust against us. When McHale was in charge it always seemed like we were adjusting to the other team. They go big, we go big: they go small, we go small.

    They can play him but should switch to a zone, like a 3-2 or something related.

    Yeah that's it. Play a zone against zone-busting shooters. Pick your poison.

    Or do you mean play the magical 3-2 zone that still covers all 4 shooters on the perimeter.

    okc need to play 6 players on the court, that way they can suffocate their opponent with a 4-2 zone.

    I'm more excited to see what adjustments Donovan makes. I do recall this happened last year during the Spurs series. Donovan adjusted and the rest was history. I understand they had Durant, but it's just too exciting seeing if he does or how he makes his adjustments.

    Don't underestimate Donovan. He clearly out-coached Pops last year, winning three in a row on adjustments.
