I predict that the Trump Presidency will be noted in history for standing up for the disenfranchised.
Umm... That kinda makes their actions even more commendable? You mean an organization isn't using the corrupt a lobbying system to generate more profits and instead sticks to their convictions? Isn't that what Trump supporters want? Nvm... That narrative was just a front for them to take advantage of placing a president that is on the side of white nationalism.
The actors were unprofessional for stating that they hope the president represents everyone of different ethnicities and backgrounds? Yeah...totally unprofessional. Give me a break. You guys are so hypocritical
You don't lecture a guy you're being paid to entertain einstein. What if the VP-elect decided he didn't want to be professional for a moment too and decide to screw these people over? I'd give him a pass for that.
Most of us are convinced he's one of the paid Russian agitators at this point. Fits his strange avatar, his sometimes broken english posts, his pure worship of Kim Jong Trump, and his obsession with being as divisive and fascist as possible. Meh. They could have saved $ using a bot, so I just see RuskiLegend as further bankrupting Putin's failing empire at this point.
So you're in favor of safe spaces? You're in favor of Donald's reaction? You cannot sit here and tell me that the if the tables were turned you wouldn't be calling Tim Kaine a sissy and Hillary a whiny liberal. It's a play with a multi-cultural cast about Alexander Hamilton, a prominent political figure. If the cast wants to send a message to the newly elected VP about inclusiveness, there's no better time. THERE'S NEVER an in appropriate time to voice these concerns as Americans. Please do not sit here and say that the executive branch deserves some "free space". They were hired to lead and be the leader of all, and the American people are speaking. They need to stop retaliating against people speaking their minds. Let the market decide if they were "unprofessional". Their audience is mostly highly-educated individuals who enjoy theater. Their play is already popular but I imagine their ticket sales will skyrocket if possible. This is America and they didn't say anything innapropriate.
Agreed. If someone gave an eloquent statement at the end of a play, as did the cast of Hamilton, to any president-elect, I would interpret it as appropriate, democratic engagement and an example of why American freedom is special. I can see people not being cool with the booing in the audience, but the cast of Hamilton was very respectful and even told the audience not to boo.
Bullshit, If Obama had been there and the cast asked him to support the police, Dem's would be upset and rightfully so.
Dems might be upset ... but ... Obama would certainly not be publicly upset. Trump was publicly upset.
Ben Carson made his political career possible by using a prayer at a prayer breakfast to attack the president.
Both incidents were wrong, is that your point? It also appears that the actor giving the speech is pro sexually assaulting drunk women.
Jeez, Trumpers: bad news. There are things WAY more dangerous than theater actors facing the United States. Conservatives have flipped into the puss party faster than a p***y can be grabbed. The p***y that Trump grabbed is you, Trump voter.
