Foxnews online has this as their *lead* story, as if nothing more important is happening than the cast of Hamilton asking Pence to represent all Americans. People from all parties and persuasions should keep an eye on the ruling party's appeals for Gleichschaltung, the German word for mass alignment to common cause. We've already seen Mojoman in his appointments thread saying democrats haven't "learned their lesson" and that their only choice, by implication, is alignment. Any questioning or complaint is automatically labeled arrogant or smug. Americans, bless us and thank God, have never really been up for such mass phenomena. Even during the moonshot and Apollo 11, we had protestors complaining about the waste of money, and good for them. It's America. So keep an eye on the new leadership focusing not on their own moves but on anyone who dares complain or say a negative word. They could listen, dialogue, ignore -- their choice -- and then focus on governing. Or they can keep their followers attention trained on this allegedly harmful "opposition." I can't remember a president demanding an apology from a citizen of the united states, for anything. It's fascinating, but hopefully most good Americans understand we are a nation of free thinkers, and that thinking is not arrogance. Knowing history is not arrogance. I'm not sure what this babbling incoherence is supposed to convey, but good effort. The facts are that Donald Trump was a registered Democrat as recently as 6 years ago and was a Democrat nearly his entire life. Of course, he ran as a Republican, so of course he's picking Republicans for his cabinet. Of course this has nothing to do with some unprofessional stage actors, or the president-elect giving them more attention than they deserve by being butt hurt about it.
