All I can say is this deal now makes the Ron Artest rumor very interesting.

    Yao/???
    Artest/Battier
    McGrady/Battier
    Battier/Wells/Head
    James/Alson/Head

Yet another admission by Rockets front office that they f***ed up yet another move..

It seems like we've made nothing but dumb moves in the past few years only to seek to undo them after the fact (see Swift, Bonzi, Rafer-for-James trade, and others).

Wanna know the difference between the Rockets organization and the Spurs? Simple: management.

IIRC, back when they were discussing the Juwan-for-James swap at the All-Star Break, there were talks of a second trade of Lucas for guard/small forward Linas Kleiza of the Denver Nuggets. Wonder if that's still alive as well.

...but now that I think of it, that second trade didn't make much sense since we would've needed a power forward anyway.

Well, this validates what I knew all along...trading Mike James for Rafer Alston was one of the most idiotic and dumbest things this franchise has ever done.

Well, if the Toronto Mike James shows up, I think we're good.

Griffin was touted as a possible #1 pick. Who knew that those three picks could have turned out to be Richard Jefferson, Zach Randolph, and Tony Parker

We didn't draft RJ for us, we drafted him for NJ - they wanted him.

Oh, all we need is the Houston Mike James and we're set at the PG position. Then you either develop VSpan to be that 'pass first' PG off the bench (who can potentially start) or you keep Rafer in his current position, only you keep him on a short leash if he continues to be "O-fer".

Head and Spanoulis are shooting guards. Sura's never going to play again, and Lucas is barely an NBA player. So that's two-and-a-half point guards at most.

not dumb in the beginning, in the end, it was one of the most hurtful trades in NBA.

Spanoulis was only a SG under a controlling JVG. He's definitely an Adelman type PG if he can control the TO's.

The only reason I would want Rafer gone is if V-span can get his **** together.

I'm glad James is back, and especially glad we unloaded Howard's contract. But trading Rafer I think would be a mistake. I don't want to go back to the days of having Moochie as our bench pg and our insurance in the instance of injury at the point.

Having James with the luxury of Rafer off the bench sounds just fine with me. Especially if James and V-span can both take time at 2 guard when needed.

anyways. Welcome home MJ, ya' egotistical **** talkin' son of a...

And his controlling Greek National Team coach and his controlling Panathinaikos coach. But JVG is evil, of course.

I love this trade just because that Mike James got traded AGAIN even with that stupid trade kicker he wanted. Hahahaha!

He will get traded again soon anyway, so don't get your hope high. Look at his history in NBA. He will score and assist but he will not help the team other than being a trade asset.

No team shouldever give a trade kicker to Mike James again because his only value is being traded around.
