Ugh, I forgot all about the Kurt Thomas trade, dang...thanks for bringing it up !!!

I usually am against trading bigs for smalls in equal talent situations, but in this instance, there is an inequity in talent concerning the hole on the Rockets that is filled by this.

Morey is starting off his career, just right, but this trade was already on the table, let's see what he can get for our other tradeable assets.

We still need a quality 4 desperatly.

I never knew of the Kurt Thomas trade. Who blew that? JVG or CD?

Also I am curious as to what other assets you think we realistically have beyond Yao, Tracy and Battier, that might get us a greatly improved PF?

I suppose the 26th pick plus some of the other "talent". Maybe I am just too down on the rest of the Rockets.

What I liked (although you can never take press conferences that seriously) was that James seemed REALLY humbled after his past season without really being prodded by the questions. He kinda came out with it by himself which if true is really promising. As long as he hasnt gone TOO soft :p

And yeah....it sounded like Rafer's out

Everyone probably had their hand in that, CD, JVG, Les...etc....etc..etc...

I would trade anyone on the team not named Yao, if the deal was right, but if you can keep Yao and Tmac together, the rest I consider tradeable assets.

And I can't believe a reporter would ask about Rafer at a conference announcing Mike James, have some couth, leave that question for another day....sheesh !

Why are you so bitter, man? You act like the Rockets shat in your cereal, or something. The Rockets came addressed a weakness by getting another player at the point who can get his own shot and they were also able to get rid of an older, declining player with a large contract. This isn't the greatest move that has ever been made, but it is positive. If the Rockets make you this unhappy you might want to follow another team.

Great trade for us. We get rid of a nearly useless player for a player who is more productive and a upgrade in that (PG) position.

Mike James seems very humbled by the experiences of the past year. I hope he plays with a chip on his shoulder.

It is a good move because we got rid of Juwon but Mike James is not the answer. If he can't start in Minnesota over Foye then he will be an overpaid backup for the ROX. I believe they could have done better and gotten someone younger than 31 and another thing is Mike James has been a locker room wrecker everywhere he has been. Good luck with this undersized 2 who does not pass and will not pass. :(

Did Morey say "the best starting lineup in the league." That is outrageous. I think that is what I heard him say. I hope I am wrong, because that is just a stupid thing to say. Rafer, Hayes, and Battier rounding out the "best starting lineup in the league. That's hilarious.

He said it was the best starting lineup in the league during the regular season. According to statistics, they were...

Just wondering why do the trade now? What's the hurry? The long summer is ahead.

Nobody wants Juwan's bad contract. It's understandable.

Nobody wants Mike James' contract too. (That's why T-wolves are willing to take Juwan). With the trade kicker, u have to pay Mike James 2.7 mil as a bonus for his outstanding contract. So, U have to paid mike James 21 mils for 3 years. 7 mils per for 3 years for mike james is as bad as Juwan's contract.

With throw in of Justin Reed, I just feel like our young GM Daryl Morey gets hosed again. This time is by Kevin Mchale. Yuck! :(
