@Reeko like i said in the other thread i like to think Utah remains a good trade partner here on paper, Favors is expiring and probably gone since they couldn't reach a deal (i guess the guy wants to get paid and/or play somewhere else), meanwhile the Clippers and Pelicans are looking less good after they just lost Boogie and Griffin, maybe the Jazz might look into add some shooting at the 4, they need that badly especially with Rubio on the court. Mirotic was on their radar but maybe they didn't want to trade their 1st rounder or they didn't want to take back Asik since he would be completely useless for them.

 

In order to complete the infinite circle, we must sign Asik to a 3-yr ballooning contract. For the first year 5 million, second year 5 million, third year 15 million dollar albatross contract. Trade him to New Orleans for a pick before his 3rd year. Repeat.

 

So what do u think we’d have to add to Ryno to get somebody like Favors?

So you want Chicago to take Ryno off our hands? Do you think they know about his woes with red basketball courts and red seats and finding the rim?

 

Still little to nothing of course, but all things considered like:

- Anderson on paper would add some value to the Jazz roster because they need someone with his skillset (that' why they were after Mirotic i guess), while he adds nothing to the Bulls
- Favors would've to get traded to a third team i think, and i can see teams having interest in him, and the fact that he's probably gone anyway might mean he has little value for Utah at this point
- getting Anderson would let the Jazz to keep their 1st rounder and not eat a useless contract like Asik

I mean, it's obviously not going to happen, i'm just throwing this out there but, what is zero (if not negative) value for one team, might be good value for another one.

 

I was kinda looking forward to Round 2 between Mirotic and Portis. Maybe get together with some of you at BWW and watch it on Pay-Per-View there.

 

Only a handful of teams have money to spend. (Atlanta? Chicago, Dallas, few others?)
