Yes I blame Mcfail for having DMo take 39% of his shots from 3 his rookie year. Last year 28.4% of his shots were 3s...this year only 17.4% of his shots are from 3. What do you not understand about that?
Your posts are a fail. DMo is developing great and McHale deserves credit. By your logic, any player that improves was previously held back by whoever was the coach.
This was your "analysis" of DMo less than 3 months ago So I respectfully ask you to pipe down on this subject because clearly your bball insight sucks.
We needed a stretch 4 beside Howard and we were trying to see if either T-Jones and D-Mo could fit the bill. T-Jones proved to be a better shooter (both were terrible shooters, but T-Jones was a bit better) and so we used him. It wasn't as if he was bad in the lineup before he went down either.
Lol at Mchale haters blaming the coach for losses and players not playing to their potential AND for wins and players playing to their potential as well How hard is it to give a player credit for improving and playing at the next level and not blaming someone from holding him back? Sounds familiar....
Yep hardens still the same on D, pbev didn't improve his 3 ball, ariza is as bad defensively as parsons, and we still don't have depth
Can you at least acknowledge that after the injuries they used DMo differently? I mean I showed you the % of total shots coming from 3.
Agreed. Tjones seized the role and DMo struggled with what was being asked of him. I'm partly arguing that the coaches were shortsighted to the potential. If I could see it as an outsiders I'm confused why it took injuries for the coach to adjust his role.
This year dmo shot a better pctg in the paint - that not Mchale made him shoot less 3s. And he fouled a lot less - that and not Mchale made him stay on the court longer
Really? Probably one of the most fitting nicknames in all of sports. Mchale was a failure in management for minny. And he frequently does things that makes you scratch your head.i understand the players respect him and he and his staff are getting great results from the players. That doesn't change his shortcomings which are significant.
Do you realize that young guys can dramatically improve? DMo is only 24 and a foreign player. He has made huge strides.
LOL you don't think the whole rockets coaching staff including Mchale, dream, cd, etc had nothing to do with dmos improved post play and defense without fouling this year?
I agree he's improving with the experience and confidence but the numbers don't really indicate a sharp improvement from 2pt area <script type="text/javascript" src="http://widgets.sports-reference.com/wg.fcgi?css=1&site=bbr&url=%2Fplayers%2Fm%2Fmotiedo01.html&div=div_shooting"></script> 56.2% 51.9% 56.0%
