this game 4 of summer league was a great example why dmo averaged only 12 points or so in 2015... because ariza and co would never pass him the ball, even when hot, and would rather brick a 3 over the hand of defenders than pass to dmo for an easy 2 points
DMo was a moderately talented NBA rotation guy, possibly a borderline starter in the right system. That said, there's no basketball system on the planet in which he would be perfect.
he was already better than dwight howard in 2015...so in the right system and teammates, his celing was tru the roof... your problem is youre not able to take into account the circumstances, coaching, his team's system, stupidity of his franchise(s), teammates, and go just by the numbers or consesus media opinion... good for you the difference between the best and the good nba players is micronuances, circumstances and just plain luck...and the refs support of course
