Not until we decide if he is Marvel 1980s era X-Factor or 1990s era X-Factor... I think he is a better Havok than Angel.
http://forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1440691 Perspective from other teams fans. So far most believe he is in the 10-12 category.
I think that's too big of a gamble to pay him 12. 10 is already pushing it based on the season he just had.
It's almost as if people forget how good we were with D-Mo an integral part of the game plan. Bring back JVG who likes to have a player operate from the post be it scoring/passing - and wham bam thank you ma'am we have an integrated D-Mo again.
The cap going to be $108m in 2017-18. That would make a 12 mil/year contract in 2017-18 equivalent to a 6.3 mil/year contract in 2015-16.
Oops, that's a mistake. It's not 6.3m but 7.8m - still, a pretty small contract for a guy of DMo caliber (if he gets back to his 2014-15 form).
Interesting, thanks malakas. That's actually the range i think he'll eventually get at the best, but if we're lucky even less. I'm sure D.Mo is well considered around the league, but after the Detroit thing...other teams also know at this point that he's not a good/solid rebounder, so not an easy player to play in a starting lineup. Is out there someone willin to pay in double digits for a bench player with back issues? Not sure.
Doubt it. If anyone offers him a contract it's going to be short term trial run to see if his health holds up. Low risk high reward type move. Regardless of the cap rise, Definitely not that high when he still has yet to provide a full healthy season with productivity.
Last season, he definitely had a top5 post-game in the league. If you disagree with that, then I guess it's not even worth trying to have a discussion with you. Of course DMo's post-game & hook-shots are rusty now, 9 months without basketball will do that to a player.
