Because he is a UNIQUE efficient player - there are very few quality post players in the league that play solid D and shoot 40% from 3pt range. He is untouchable unless we are getting back a star in his prime. You KEEP your better players, and build with them, you don't jettison them. DMo is a lot better than he is getting credit for here by some, all he needs is to be on the floor, and have the offense focused more on him. DD

It's possible that his back is sore, it's also possible that him working out instead of playing the 6 minutes a game he's getting while they are showcasing Jones for a trade is more beneficial long term.

Could be. I still think it's more likely his back, as Morey wouldn't hesitate including DMo in a deal he deemed worthy enough. I think DMo's unique skill set and being a true "GO TO" low post option makes him unique, and more than just an average player. If you get a STAR back, then ok, if not, you keep DMo and let him continue to develop. I also think the "Back" thing is a ruse to feature TJ and to scare teams off from asking about DMO as if he is damaged goods. DD
