Same here, I couldn't understand why we went away from it, but i'm not so sure that wasn't Harden's (or whomever was running the offense - maybe Terry) decision out on the court. When the Kings made their runs to close the 2nd and early in the 3rd it was because we were chucking up jumpers and missing and weren't slowing things down w/ DMo inside and setting up better looks for our shooters... NO matter what, loving what DMo is doing on both sides of the floor these last several games, just hope when Howard and TJ return he can keep up the progress and not regress due to lost minutes.
I've been one of DMo's biggest critics, but it appears that something has clicked. He seems to settle down and play well when we are moving the ball well and he can show off his passing ability.
He needs to stop passing out, when he's open in the paint, and he needs to stop passing to Black & Dorsey when they are covered in the paint.
Good teams are going to make D-mo make choices in the middle of the lane when trying to get the ball out of Harden's hands.
DMo's interior passing is actually really good, which is why I think it would work, only they have to do the opposite of what they are currently doing. DMo needs to be the one posting up so that he can pass out of the double and hit Dwight for the easy buckets.
Seriously though, if he can hit that hookshoot with any consistency then he will be a monster in the post.
yup, I think a lot of his past issues in the post are due to his low confidence and spazzing and rushing his moves. He just needs to be comfortable and take things slowly.
Till DMo gets any knowledge in NBA no one will leave Dwight open to double Motiejunas. That may be even better since he is very good 1on1 in the post.
Agreed, it's win-win, if they don't double him, he probably scores, if they do double him they either left a 3 point shooter or Howard open for a pass.
Chandler who?

@DonatasMot 6 REB, 3 AST, 3 STL & 21 PTS! Simply amazing! DMo surprised me with his quickness. It's very difficult to surprise me, but for guy his size he his very quick. Quick passes, quick post moves and shot release, even quick thinking. I think he has a potential to become a legit starter in this league. He didn't move like that while he was playing for his last european employer in Poland. I think he busted his butt to develop that.
As much as I like D-Mo I cannot believe that when Jones comes back he won't eventually move back in as the starter. D-Mo as the back up to both the 4 and the 5 just makes to much sense. It could turn out to be a rare luxury.
it's funny you mention that. i remember someone making the same point about Yao - we shouldn't give him the ball in the post and then let him shoot/distribute. Rather we should let others (Harden or in this case DMo) distribute and get Howard the ball at the END of the play. (Of course, we already knew this - Pick and Roll Howard is way better than post up Howard - but it's funny that we're having this same conversation).
When Terrence Jones comes back from injury, I can guarantee Dmo will revert back to his passive mode.
difference is Black is the 5th option while Dwight is the 1st option just hope McHale mixes things up and Dwight buys in to have DMo do his thing
