I have liked this guy from the start. Clearly he is a character, but he has skills and he is big. I expect him to do well.

I'm certainly looking for some of that, but I also think we'll see Donatas scoring around the basket off of passes from Lin, Harden, and Parsons.

    Yes

He should get some good open looks at the basket.

Yes sir. I think he has shown the talent but we all wonder if he will develop and show consistency. I remember in summer league he had a nice game and then fell off.

Certainly everyone has bad games and we shouldn't expect him to go super saiyan. Having said that he needs to rebound and be effective defensively to keep the starting spot. He will find himself in the 6th man role really quick if he doesn't because McHale isn't as biased as we are.

Could very well see them go with D-Mo as the pick and Roll partner some too when Asik is off the floor. That's probably how he will find his way around the rim the most. With his versatility, you could play him in a few different ways offensively. Defensively, its another story, but he's improving.

I think the next step in his post game to get the coaches trust to run plays for him will be to learn how to be patient, learn how to pass out of the post, and eventually draw a double team.

Haha it would be pretty funny if we actually played the Minny for his first start.

Good work for D-Mo. Shows what going to practice and not complaining about the D-League will do for you.
    Hard work gets rewarded.

This is great. Not only more PT for Donuts, but we'll probably see Robinson too now.

Before it was Delfino/Parsons getting the primary 4 minutes and D-Mo getting the secondary PT.

    That's not him.

Pretty sure he's blue in his wolf form...and less hairy...

D-Mo played the long game, patience, hard work, and a positive attitude, including a willingness to develop in the D-League. Now he has a chance to seize the starting spot as his own, to continue polishing his game, to become Morey's best low round pick.

All so Morey can trade him to the Kings for Cousins.

    :)

    No

He has not show us anything yet on the Rockets. All he has is potential. When that potential is realized then we can safely say he has made it. Until then he is like the other 5-6 undersized PF's we have. I for one will not anoint him the savior at the 4 spot until he proves himself.

    Caution

D-Mo gets blocked 10% of the time inside.

[before anyone freaks out: looking at different PF/C types on many teams, 10% appears to be a very normal number --> eg, DeMarcus Cousins + Tim Duncan are blocked 10% of the time inside]

Fluid, over 7 feet, the skill to score with both hands, and court vision automatically makes him one of the best offensive bigs in the game. Probably a sad statement for the state of big men, but true nonetheless. Once he adjusts, I expect him to put up great numbers.

DM's trade gave DMo a chance. Good for DM and DMo.
