I was at the game and when Asik went to sideline early because he was bleeding, Dmo also went over and was having his hand looked at. It almost looked like he had his finger jammed and they were trying to pull it back into place. That might explain a little, but I think it is him just getting used to logging the minutes and adjusting to the speed of the game. Once he gets in more game shape, I think he will calm down more and look more fluid on the court.

DMo looks to be a pretty good low post player. He has moves there that very few pros have. His defense from the area of the low post was real good...usually.

He'll only improve as his conditioning gets better. A lot of things to like. Shame he was on the bench at the end because we could have used a 7 footer.

He got 7 rebounds so he already matched PPats total rebounding number for the year.

On a serious note, Patterson has never put up at least 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists in a single game. DMo did it in his first start, and just 26 minutes.

In fact, 5 assists is Patterson's career high (which he did just once).

for a rookie playing his first game with significant minutes against NBA players (26mins)...

he looks good out there, a lot of nice plays, and not really your typical ones at that

he's not perfect of course, just means that like every other player in the NBA, he has areas he needs work on

he showed a lot of passion, getting excited on the floor, notable when Delfino made a nice play and he was all over Carlos after

didn't expect lack of conditioning or stamina would be a factor

    he'll only get better

DMO shoulda been in there at the end. ESPECIALLY on the last defensive possession.

I'll continue to say it: we should give him a few touches on the low block. Hopefully it doesn't take the rest of the year to figure this out.

I thought Motiejunas looked great in his first start. He seems to be adjusting quickly. Cannot wait for this guy to get a couple more years of games, conditioning and physical development in our system.

I expect he is gonna go off to the tune of 20+ in the next 5 or so games. Seems to create and move with the ball super effectively for someone so big. A couple times that he has faced up and penetrated he has looked extremely quick.

Pretty good stuff. Better than his D-league highlights.

He's a better passer than I had expected. Sees the court very well.

It doesn't seem like he would be very effective in a more traditional PF role (posting up, banging down low, defending the paint, etc). Perhaps with the way this team is structured, he doesn't need to be. Or maybe that will be the job of Robinson/Jones.

He may need to bulk up some, but if he adds too much, he wouldn't be able to play in the same manner either.
