Finally the injuries take their toll. Without Dwight and TJones, DMo had to play a lot of minutes. The wear and tear of the season finally got to him.

That's why we have to go 3-man deep in each position.

Maybe it's only now that numbness or tingling have been experienced. Nerve injuries cannot be seen via imaging tests, as far as I know.

well, that's why Pops rests his players.

While we have McHale who doesn't believe in resting players. McHale should have expanded the rotation a long time ago to play Capela, Johnson and KJ. It's his old stubbornness again that will do us in.

I would say that's the biggest reason we have these end of the season losing streaks. The starters are too tired because of the short rotation.

Look, times have changed. The top teams rest their players a lot.

It's effective. . . it maybe smart . . . but it is not brilliant or good sportsmanship

It completely reversed the momentum and probably won them the game.

Agreed. I understand these guys need to learn to shoot free throws and it is on them. But it is a coward ploy and it is NOT entertaining. Keep it up and eventually revenues for the league will fall as people don't want to watch that garbage. I am not sure what the solution is. But it needs to be examined. Kids coming up these days don't give two ****s about free throws. They don't practice them. Free throws are not sexy like a dunk. A lot of these kids now only care about looking flashy and being on the highlight reel. I don't expect the quality of free throw shooting to improve as we move forward.

I'm really starting to think that we should consider drafting a PF in this year's draft. If DMo's injury is serious we won't be able to count on him and he's the only starting caliber PF we had on the roster.

Parkers, Leonard and Manu missed a lot of games early on. That is why they were struggling. Resting them didn't any justice for them then. Pop is very good at getting the best out of every player on his team.
Parker is still nursing an injury, been struggling up until last night.

Almost every coach depends on their 8-9 man rotation and barely relies on rookie players.

JVG brought up a good remedy, change the rules to let them do it twice. The third intentional off the ball foul is a tech, one FT plus possession.

That is what's so frustrating about this whole situation. The lack of information about this injury. will it effect his career long term? etc.?

Dude he is not the only starting caliber PF on this roster. Please cut that nonsense out. We all know your love affair with Dmo. Jones and Smith are caliber starting PF'S on this team. Jones showed you that last year as well as this year. Smith been starting at that position for most of his career.

If Jones or Smith are your starting PF, you have a hole at starting PF. Simple as that. You can slot them there if you like, but it's a serious weakness if you do.

Total waste - between this and the Pelicans playoff surge, it's looking more and more like the Dragic non-trade was a mistake.

It's a thread about DMo, not about how bad our PF's shoots free-throws guys!

There is some news from Lithuania. They say he suffered this injury during the practise and according do Donatas he felt right away it was not a regular one - he told there was some chance that this will be career ending injury if he won't have a surgery right away. He also told there is no time-table when he will be back but it may take over 4 months and he would probably miss Eurobasket tournament.

He actually did miss one tournament couple of years ago just to play in NBA Summer League, making his way into NBA and thinking about his future in this league. I think he won't play and rest till next NBA season if there is any chance of getting any other injury during Eurobasket. That should be a good news for Rockets fans and devastating for lithuanians.

DMo is not a hole if Smith and Jones are? DMo is no better than these guys.

I'm not a doctor. That said from my personal experience it is very easy to diagnose a herniated disc but to diagnose if it presses nerves it is from the symptoms reported by the patient. Maybe DMO didn't report the extent of the symptoms to the doctors and waited just to go away on its own?

Anyway herniated discs is not a joke and something to be careless about. Especially if it's in the lower back. He should be in total rest and only do specific exercises. I'm more amazed HOW he could run on a treadmill if he had sciatica?
