I feel based on the current NBA trend, a PG is more important. That plus John Wall's just amazing. Here's to some lucky lottery ball bounces.
I would take either, but I do like the fact that Donatas is left handed...that is a big advantage. DD
Sure, Derek fisher played the "point" if you define that as driving up the court to give the ball to number 24 - otherwise you have to go back to maybe 2004 Detroit to find a champ without a top notch perimeter player (if you don't count Billups). Before that, I think you have to go back to the 1999 *Spurs and the 1994 Rockets, in the pre-rule changes era.
As a lefty...not particularly. I'm far more impressed with Wall's ability to finish with his left hand as a righty. I thought he was left handed until I saw him shoot a jumper.
Well, except we have no stud wing players Well, as long as we're posting picture of high euro draft picks. Just because Darko didn't develop doesn't mean big men from Europe will all suck. And it's not like the odds of American big men succeeding is any ebtter. See: Tyson Chandler, Kwame Brown, Micheal Olawa...(I don't know how to spell his name), Eddie Curry, etc.
I was saying that Donatas being left handed is an advantage in the league, Nike said that since he sucked and was left handed it was not an advantage. DD

John Wall looks amazing. His length, quickness, and athleticism just place him on another level than that of his peers. I just hate that he doesn't seem to have a jump-shot. It seems all the prospects nowadays are athletic shimmy shaking break your ankles non-jumpshot players. Derrick Rose, Tyreke Evans, John Wall, Russell Westbrook...etc. They're obviously amazing, but you still get the feeling that they're selling themselves short. Their freakish athleticism pretty much hinders their development because it allows them to dominate without relying on a perimeter game, and it starts to hurt them when they get to the NBA.
John Wall Wall reminds me of D. Wade. Strong finisher around the rim, explosive leaping ability, impressive shot-blocker.
We should tank this season and trade Scola and battier for an expiring contract and a first round draft pick and get John Wall and Derrick Favors. That would be sick
Wall is ahead of Donatas. The reasons have already been pointed out. The latter is a face up 5/4,who isn't very athletic. He could succeed, but Wall is closer to being an NBA player right now. A solid freshman year will help cement his projected # 1 status.
That didn't stop Rajon Rondo from averaging a triple-double in the playoffs and Derrick Rose almost a dominate a series against the defending champs as a rookie. It doesn't bother me that these guys can't shoot. I think it's a good thing. They have to repeatedly attack the basket, which creates a higher percentage shot, a chance to get to the foul line, etc. There are better opportunities driving the ball that shooting it.
