Good post hp. This is probably the most succinct and on-target explanation of the differences I've seen. Well said. I'd rep you again if I had not done so recently.

Scola's 15 and 7ish rebounds seem to have translated well. Also, P. Gasol's 18 and 6. I havent watched enough of D.Mo to say he's comparable to these two but, for those who have, what would stop him from have the type of success that they've had?

Gasol just played more NBA ball. And he capitalized from being the No.1 dog in Memphis.
Scola could easily rebound as well.

He might have a shortened career though LOL. Lumbering Euro oafs beating on your sleek NBA monster night in and night out=not pretty.

I didn't mean to imply he would be worse. I just don't think a rule of thumb projection works well or someone who will most likely be playing so differently in the NBA. I expect his scoring rate will go up. I worry about efficiency, though.

Are you serious? If the rules were loosened Howard would beat the dog crap out of those pudgy euro centers, on both ends of the court.

Common. NBA is better league than Euroleague, no question about it. But the gap between them is not big as most of you think. Put barca or cska on eastern conference and I won't be suprised it would make play-offs. Or vice verca, put cavaliers or bobcats in euroleague and see them fighting for the spot in top16. And if they would make it, no way they could make top8. Period.

Going back to the case of Motiejunas. Lot of ppl claim that Motiejunas numbers mean thing because he's playing on crappy team. Well, playing on crappy team and being its leader means opponents will put max defense on you, double team you and excetera. That's why his numbers dropped at the end, other teams got prepared for him. But that would have happened to a lot of players on prokom's team so everything's ok.

You have clearly never watched Euroleague basketball. Howard would probably put up very good stats over there but he would get really frustrated with the physicality of the game.
