    Motiejunas sets defensive rebounding record
    He's doing it against the tough Euroleague competition in their 40 minute game. Usually players that make a jump from the Euroleague rebound even BETTER in the NBA. I'm now excited about this guy. If he did this before the draft he would have went top 5-10.

    It's a great news, but Asseco won aginst by far worst Euroleague team :). Union Olimpia was left by three of four players last week, because of financial problems. But Yeah 21 rebounds is awesome :)

    Really wish this guy was in training camp rather than Parsons.

    Especially with Chuck leaving, this should open up some playing time for him.

    I was happy.... til I saw mention of Mirsad Turkcan... alot of good THAT draft pick was for us in 98...sidenote: that was the pick we shoulda used on Rashard Lewis...)

    Turkcan did it in 2003, when he was 26 years old. Motiejunas is 21. Also, rebounding is one statistic that apparently translate well into the NBA. So that would lessen one question about Motiejunas' future transition.

    One game is one game. It probably has more to do with there being a ton of missed shots in crappy Europe competition. Would like to know his rebounding % for the season.

On Sunday in Nymburk, in the match against Czech Nymburk Motiejunas made 18 rebounds - this is absolutely the best record in the history of the championship. Remind that the American players Travis Watson (Zalgiris) and Shawn King (Minsk-2006) made 17 rebounds.<br>

    In the match in Kazan against UNICS players of Budivelnik made 13 three points shots. This is 4th result in the tournament history.<br>

    Most players just grab rebounds, Donatas actually makes them. Incredible!

    Isn't missing a shot "making" a rebound? Perhaps he missed 18 shots in this game.

    He is the top rebounder right now in Euroleague, he's averaging 8,5 rebounds per game!
