But at least the NBA gave DMo some undisclosed amount of money. So, that probably covers any difference - right?
In related news, authorities report that the Clutchfans poster known as bballholic has been found dead next to his basement computer in an apparent suicide.
Yep, that was the plan all along. BJ setup the Rox in a clever scheme to circumvent the CBA, then threatened to rat them out to the Nets, knowing Morey would then go to Silver for help, and Silver would work out something illegal with Rox and Nets, then his final trap would be set ... and he could sue the Association, Rox and Nets for collusion ... settling out of court for $60m/4yrs...and still free to sign a minimum contract somewhere. absolutely brilliant.
BJ is calling Bobby, "Hey dude, you owe us 225K. You got 450K more because of the DMo saga. We're supposed to split 50/50. We have rights, you know?"
Well its the hard truth isn't it? 2 teams valued the guy enough to invest millions in him only to bail because of a failed physical (Det/ Hou) 25 other teams wouldnt offer even vet min. 1 team was willing to pay and risk the back because they have loads to spend and no talent and need to take some major risks 1 team took a look at the min, but weren't willing to offer it. 1 team signed him for the minimum and we will see if they play him much. If his back wasn't screwed things would be different. Looks like it could be a career killer - has happened before....
I still don't understand why DMo hasn't fired BJ yet... or any of his other clients, for that matter.
And don't forget that the Nets are so far under the cap, they either sign another guy or they have to split those millions up amongst the guys already on their roster. They wanted DMo because for them, he was free to sign. Literally no risk, possible reward.
Lol, more than DMo at the prorated 600k... bj/dmo should have taken the money and ran. Hell even the initial QO was better.
