Count me in for being at that game too. Best seats I had there yet. I've been to the last 3 Rox @ Magic games and they've all been on Sunday afternoons. I only remember that it was a lot closer than it should've been. Maybe it's this thread convincing me, but I also swear that it seemed like the Magic were seriously outplayed but hung in there until maybe the last 1-2 minutes when the win was pretty much in the bag. I remember walking out somewhat relieved, so it must've been tight. What I would give to replay that day.
Exactly. I will never buy the NBA conspiracy crap until I see a Knicks Lakers final. Then I will start to wonder.
oh okay, it was an away game, didn't read that carefully in the original post. does sound like he was trying to make the game over
naw. he was especially going off on the officating on this particular game. i listen to gene and jim a lot
Nobody is saying Stern is "in" on it. Just that he may know about it and turns a blind eye because of the consequences. Bud Selig: Knew about steriods but obviously wasn't handing out needles. Richard Nixon: Didn't request to plant the bug at Watergate but assisted the coverup later. etc tec. David Stern: Knew about potential illegal gambling but because of mob implications or bad press of fixing games would create huge problems.
I had also heard that he reffed a game in Jan when we played the Suns where the spread was 4 the day before and went up to 8.5 the day of and we lost by 9. The jump of four points in one day was suposedly un heard of, but I think this may have been a game tha Tracy missed, not sure. Just remember seeing that was a game that was under investigation.
