Lord knows you Rockets fans have a vaulted view of the players on your team. See: Tracy Mcgrady. But in this case yall are dead wrong about Scola. The guy is a money player. The same goes for Aaron Brook, you guys has sent that guy packing for every tom dick and harry. The problem with your team is that you need to play defense to the level of the bad boys of piston land to be a factor in this league as you guys don't have a big time scorer and that would most likey break up the team. If I were you guys I'd find a way to try to get a guy like chris kamen on your team and not worry about Anthony Randolph.
Randolph is not a complete player yet, but he has a fantastic set of skills for a big man and is one of the youngest players in the league. He's a good threat from midrange and has enough handles to bring up the ball himself. Despite his skinny frame he's actually a tough-nosed player and very aggressive. We all saw him try to dunk on Mutombo. He failed multiple times, but he didn't shy away. He's come a long way from his first few months last year. He needs to work on his defense badly, though. He cannot defend the post, even non-power players like Odom and Scola have taken him to the woodshed down low. And he needs to start boxing out rather than relying on his athleticism to grab rebounds. It's hard to judge his defense in the warriors system, though. Even solid defenders like Azubuike have regressed defensively on that team. The biggest red flag for me is his childish demeanor on the court. The only player that carries himself less professionally is Stephen Jackson. Those emotionally unstable types are the first ones to quit on the team and usually become a distraction. But Rasheed Wallace and Dennis Rodman were champions on a disciplined Pistons squad, so surrounding a hothead with character guys can work. Bottom line, he's a raw high-reward prospect that could fit in perfectly next to Yao. You absolutely have to nab him if he's truly in Nelson's doghouse.
The guy is only 20!!!! And I think he is a GREAT prospect. Good all-around game and plays D, bring him in! Scola+Whatever for him+"bad" contract.
Honestly, I've only seen this kid play in limited minutes against the Rockets. I've never watched Golden State much (except a few years back when they handed it to the Mavs in the playoffs and Randolph wasn't on the team then). As such, I have no idea if he is as stupid as some are claiming. Can it be possible? Did LSU really produce three hyper athletic players with the brains of Forrest Gump in the past five or six years? Stromile Swift, Tyrus Thomas and Anthony Randolph. Wow. Say it ain't so. I have liked what I've seen from Randolph, but then, I liked some of what I saw out of Stromile in limited minutes too, and he was just absolutely awful here. I'd hate to give up one of our high IQ guys for an idiot, but if he has any brains at all I'd love to see the Rockets pry him away from Golden State. Does anybody have any links to interviews with Randolph or perhaps quotes from his coaches/teammates that might reference his basketball IQ or trouble learning plays, etc?
Let's get one thing clear: Randolph actually has multiple basketball skills. Stromile Swift never had any skills and didn't demonstrate much athleticism besides vertical jumping ability. Tyrus Thomas is similar to Swift except he isn't nearly as dumb, has a very bad attitude (a feeling of entitlement) and has at least tried to improve himself some. Like SS, I don't think TT has the focus to play with intensity over the course of an entire season. Randolph may not turn out to be much, but he has a chance and has a lot more tools to his game than the other two combined.
Look, the guy is not all there upstairs....he has talent but if he were asked to play here in Houston he would suffer big time....... Do not want a malcontented 20 year old, whose bball IQ is somewhere south of rain man. DD
Aight you're the second person to say this. Can I get a link to him being a malcontent and a cancer? No way in hell should Mikki Moore be starting over this guy. Yet you hear no quotes of him complaining just a source saying he's frustrated which is understandable. Also had 13 pts. and 14 rebounds off the bench.

Bahaha I love how Nellie simultaneously ripped both SJax by calling him a ****** and Randolph by saying he has no shot. Terrible Management 101.
I don't think he was calling Stack Jack fat. Over the summer there was an article saying he added some muscle over the summer.
Just send him to the rockets, possibly he could use Cook, Anderson etc. in exchange Morey get it done!
