Randolph would look SO good in Rockets red. Definite improvement from Scola and he could even play center more proficiently. Also, he's quite a bit younger. This will be my first, Morey, get it done use, but please, PLEASE, get it done.
Sounds like, to me, and I'm being completely serious, that Brian Cook is actually right up their alley...which is sad.
Maybe nobody - but take Ilgauskus from the Cavs or something to make the salaries match? (he expires) We get Randolph + Ilguaskus Warriors get Landry, Cook + Cavs first Cavs get Jackson + Dorsey I dunno - I'd bet serious money AGAINST the Warriors trading Randolph.
you can't be serious, because if you are, then .....I'll add this to my sig too, just so you can be continually embarrassed about this flippant comment....
No way. Anthony has shown a lot more skills and ability than Stromile. The knock on this kid is that he is young and hasn't matured. He just needs a good coach.
Why don't you try arguing against his point then? Are you even capable of it? You know, presenting an argument of substance that surpasses your two sentence posting capacity. If you're going to attempt to mock him it's only prudent. You've already butchered your chance with me. Hell, you couldn't even copy my statement correctly let alone win an argument. Why do I sense that would be the same case here? Pure gold.
Years ago I might have said that Don Nelson would have been a good coach for Anthony. The situation is just bizarre. Supposably Don Nelson says he doesn't shoot the 3 well enough to be the starting PF, so he plays C-Mag and Buike instead, unreal. How long until management wises up and fires him? Before or after he gets the all-time wins record?
I think the owners just want the contract to expire. Nelson has seemed like he wanted out since last year, or the year before Baron was let go. Seriously, Nelson is a wreck; he gets you to a high point and then it's all downhill from there never going back up. I'm guessing he just wants to go to Maui.
It's pretty well documented that 'management' want Nelson gone - there's the small matter of his contract which expires at the end of next season. It's big and fully guaranteed. They don't want to pay him out - he doesn't want to give up guaranteed cash. Wait for 2011 Warriors fans!
Anthony Randolph is already an extremely well-rounded offensive player, but he has the potential to be a Chris Bosh type player. He's got amazing ball handling skills, he can post up, he has good range, and can take it to the basket and finish with authority and use either hand while doing so. His rebounding skills are underrated. He needs to work on his passing and probably needs to bulk up just a little (too much muscle would probably be detrimental to his game) and if the Rockets could get him, they could help him focus on defensive as well. I would definitely take on salary to acquire Randolph. I would start out with an offer of Battier and Cook for Stephen Jackson and Randolph. I would even substitute Scola in the place of either Battier or Cook and maybe a future 1st rd pick (not this year's pick of course). Randolph is going to be a good player in this league for the next 10-12 years.
these LSU prospects are panning out like the evolution of man... StroShow ---> TyThomas ---> Randolph -- -- -- -------------------------------> some how Shaq has skipped to the front^
Now this I like. Ilguaskus could mentally help Yao thru his foot recovery since he's been thru the same thing & give us some height against the big teams. Adelman is the perfect coach for Randolph(20 years old & 6'-double digits'). Randolph would give us size & range at the 4/5 spot & maybe even the 3. Plus we reduce the roster by 1. I think this is a dream trade come true.
With his wide range of offensive skill set, and a good size to boot. I really like to see him alongside the likes of AB and Ariza. Hey, they could actually form the triple A team.
Why Don Nelson is even a coach in the league is amazing. Golden State needn't be some NBA backwater, but they keep handing out gigantic contracts like candy, and keep on that my-ship-has-sailed coach. While I should have sent Nellie a thank-you card for the GS series against Dallas, I gotta say, What is his major brainlock? The dude cannot stand tall players. If Jackson wouldn't go Sprewell on him, Nellie would start him at center, you know?
