Still can't believe a guy with his athleticism went undrafted, especially when you consider the draft is only about athleticism.

Gms of most teams are dumb and/or under public pressure who to draft.... its dangerous to draft vs consesus hype, it can get people fired fast...on the other hand if they do draft consenus hyped guy, GM has 7 years of job security cause thats how long the drafted hyped guy will always be given chance to succeed and turn it around even if struggling previously...

    a) He skipped college, so was a little bit of a wild card. A 6'6 PF might well be overlooked if they skip college? A lot of the points he produces are opportunistic, so perhaps there was fear he was undersized and wouldn't be able to find those same opportunities - that would lead to hesitation

    b) he was drafted at selection 52. So he didn't go undrafted - just slipped to the 2nd round, which is perhaps very reasonable given his size and skipping of college?

The Rockets just had the second time ever with three rookies over 20 points. The improvement through the year of Green and KPJ has both been stunning. Sengun just played his best game also. Who knows on Garuba, but I’m not writing off or getting upset about an injured rookie who plays same position as two valuable young players (KMJ, Tate).

His number two pick looks great. the pick he traded up to get looks great. His “reach” (JC) looks great. He’s lined up to to have one more top and one more middle 1st pick (same spots as Green and Sengun/JC).

The team just beat Memphis and LA, led by the youth. It will be in good shape next year and have tons of cap space and seemingly more valuable Nets picks after that.

Are you really that upset about lost statistics in half of year that you can’t see the positive things this FO/coaching have done?

Step back and look at the big picture … and maybe acknowledge that
    a) we are in a great position, and
    b) it’s possible … just possible … that the FO had something to do with that.

I am in your avatar, breh.

They do not hire models as GMs for a reason but I think Ujiri is well dressed.

We have mob bosses in Tilman and Rafael.

Very questionable if KPJ deserved that contract after his mental breakdown. What did he even achieve???

I just saw a list of top 30 free agents for this summer and its truly uninspiring for the cap space we got

Yea but I want to see this team have some progress and have games where they look competent and lose organically but not get their doors blown off like they have sans last night. This whole team just has no offensive system and they give up a ton of points

It should be clear that this isn’t going to be a quick turnaround. It’s still pretty unclear if we have anyone on this roster that can be an eventual top 20 player.

We most definitely made the right decision to not retool around Jarrett Allen, Ben Simmons, and LaVert.

    Astros Tank-n-Rebuild Method™:

    1. Dump key players for draft assets
    2. Spend 3 years at rock bottom of league standings, draft near the top every year
    3. Gel for a year
    4. Become playoff team
    5. Win it all
    6. Contend for title every year

We're in the final year of step 2. Be patient.

Our GM has blessed us with talent. Jalen is in a slump but he will become a Star, multiple all star, and scoring average of 30 plus a game. Sengun who will be a 20 pts 10 rebounds a game this year….he is close to be a Star. Porter will average 20 points a game, 5 rebounds and 6 assists a game this year. Also, Jabari who is not KD or David Robertson but a Michael Porter Jr. clone who is not athletic, no handles but is a elite shooter. Jabari will be Michael Porter Jr clone who average 18 points a game but will have elite defensive skills, he will be a star(a 3rd star). Our Gm is doing great and either we will sign Wiggins or someone who has that Championship Mentality this summer….we are on track

doesn't mean we will spend it on free agency alone. We can become a trade destination for a star if there is one that wants to be traded. We have the capacity to do that and have the assets as well. It is not just free agency signings that we can improve the team in. We didn't have that after the Westbrook-Paul trade, now we have it back

There is a Grand Canyon between 4. and 5.

And a slightly smaller one between 3. And 4.

Sometimes it's bottomless for teams like Sacramento.
