Brady was not an average quarterback last year. It's not to say that he hasn't improved for this year, but he was a very good quarterback last year as well, just with substantially less weapons. The Ravens example is correct, but can Miami's defense dominate games like the 2000 Ravens? I know they're good, but it will take a lot for them to be that good.
The Dolphins will do the same thing they do every year, play really good in the first half of the season, slow down in the second half, and lose in the first round of the playoffs.
i disagree...i think brady was quite average...and i think dilfer was even more average! or averagER!!
I don't remember bradys stats last year so I looked em up, 18-12 td/int, 80 something rating, versus over a hundred this year. Maybe not the exact arithmetic mean, but not too far above the median I imagine. Anyway, what I mean is that Fiedler is capable of doing 18/12, 80's qb rating. That won't necessarily win them anything, but it gives em a shot.
Geez, Charles Woodson is out 3-6 weeks and maybe even the season Drafting Buchanon was maybe the smartest thing we did this whole year.
That will happen right after the Saints team imploddes. They start making dumbass penalties and blown coaching calls that cost them close games and they scape goat each other for the loss. Next, pretty soon the OL starts refusing to block for Deuce because he might make his incentives, and well, incentive laden contracts are the worst things to ever happen to professional players because then what you are paid is tied to what you actually do. I think all these things are more likely than Ricky quitting
