Well, at least we have the summer to trade with the Knicks. However, aside from Jamaal Crawford or David Lee, who would we want? Ummmmm, nobody!

That was my understanding too, that he was still ticked off at Brown.

My recollection was that he responded to a question asked about how he felt to being given only one year to turn things around.

A lot of the "you've got one year" thing, IMO is largely for show.

Unless I am mistaken, the Isiah THomas sexual harrassment lawsuit is stil pending so firing him last year would have been bad legal strategy.

This sets the stage for a performance based dismissal rather than anything that the plaintiffs in harassment case could point to as indicative of guilt in that episode...and let me tell you the knicks are making the performance-based dismissal case in grand fashion....

True, but the Knicks have had a 100% foolproof case against Zeke for years now.

Channing Frye, Jackie Butler, Qyntel Woods, Q-Rich. The Knicks have a lot of good players, they're just not a good team.

That was my point. Zeke had, say, a 10% chance of succeeding. Now it's zero. Dolan is a basketball idiot.

I do not think Isiah Thomas or James Dolan could manage a whorehouse.

Before Isiah was hired by Dolan, Dave Checketts (former Knicks team President?) or that other former Utah guy -Knicks GM- had the payroll and team really messed up. Recall the signing of Allen Houston to a max contract they are still paying on.

You cannot excuse Isiah as he has dug the hole deeper, but this was real bad before it got worse now.....

the only thing isiah has done good as a gm is drafting t-mac back in toronto at the 9th spot.

of course he wanted to trade t-mac 3 months into his rookie season along with walt williams to philly for spoon and stackhouse so maybe t-mac was just dumb luck

If IT can get the players on his side he should be able to get alot more wins out of them then Larry Brown did --- they won't be contenders but could be a second tier playoff team.

If he lets them play they may even be fun to watch.
