Your man lies his way to the whitehouse. If he tells the truth on this fiasco including many more, do you honestly think he will get re elected?

One thing I have to concede to you guys, half of America loves the free stuff and that is why we have St Nick/Pinocchio in the whitehouse now.

So you acknowledge the fact that a federal individual mandate was first proposed by the Heritage Foundation and it's cause championed by republicans in the 90s? That's progress.

In your own words, a federal mandate for private insurance equals a "total government takeover" of healthcare. So tell us, what is your opinion on conservatives proposing a total government takeover of healthcare?

McCarthy was right. The communists are everywhere. You must be terrified to learn what you have learned today.

    1. I don't see how an evolution to a single-payer system should be considered a failure.

    2. I don't see how it will evolve into a single-payer system when it relies on free market participation to make it run.

We should make a national ID card. Handles your social security, gubmint health insurance, food stamps, unemployment benefits, voting, income taxes, real estate taxes, passport, visas, right to work, marriage licenses, medical licenses, concealed carry licenses, hunting licenses, and everything else right on one card. And, companies can use it as a unique identifier too. It'd also make the NSA's work a lot more streamlined.

It won't evolve into single-payer. This is as far as we will be able to go. Obamacare leaves fee-for-service in place and allows the private insurers to continue to gouge their customers (who now HAVE to buy their products) The sad truth is that the primary beneficiaries of Obamacare are physicians, insurance companies, and old people - three huge Republican constituencies. Once the bill has been around a few years, the Republicans will fight tooth and nail to prevent changes to it, believe me.

Barack Obama made a huge mistake at the start of his presidency. He assumed that the reason Republicans and Democrats couldn't get along was because of policy differences. He really believed his 'red states, blue states' speech. That's why he proposed a policy invented by the Heritage Foundation and enacted by Mitt Romney - his goal was universal coverage, and he assumed if he could get there in a way that Republicans liked, he would have their support.

What Obama failed to realize was that the Republicans had nothing to gain by helping him. "We have a few minor disagreements with the President, but we're generally happy with the direction he's taking the country" does not get your donors and activists excited, and it does not get voters to pull the lever for your team in the next election. Unless the President is literally letting the opposition party write the bills, they never have more to gain by working with him than by fighting whatever he proposes.

We were not sold a single payer solution. We were sold a free market solution that was to bring down costs. We were not sold a solution that was to evolve into a single payer system. It was a bunch of promises that was nothing but a box of lies. I use the word "lies" because they knew it was going to fail.

The ACA was designed to encourage people to purchase insurance or face a fine. If people were struggling to pay $150 a month and now their premiums are being doubled, what makes you think they will purchase insurance? There will be some really unhappy people out there in a couple years when they are being fined 2% of their income. The subsidies will continue to increase.

The more the righties struggle to deny the ways that Obamacare helps tens of millions, the worse it will be for their movement. though they may think that the confusion they are creating now will help them avoid the inevitable.

Many of their supporters will have the experience in their own lives that Obamacare and government regulation of insurance companies has helped them.

At that point they will stop listening so attentively to the lies spread by Rush, Cruz, Rand and Ron Paul and the gang.

We are not the ones who are struggling, it's Obama and his Keystone minions who are dying right now. The website is a joke, millions of policies are cancelled despite the promises(or lies). If this turd baby is so great, how comes the American people don't want it. Why does Obama constantly on the campaign trails lying to us?

If this healthcare is so great according to you glynch, why do you have to lie to sell it?

Obumer is looking more and more like a used car salesman these days.
