At least you diversified like I suggested, and posted some in the Astros forum. Now you are a DEFINITELY less suspicious troll account that went straight to posting in the D&D right after you created your account.

Ummm... if the government doesn't know someone's BIRTHDAY, then they shouldn't be receiving federal aid! That's kind of a big clue.... that they are not a citizen.

Gawd, I love it when the libs self-own themselves.

    GOOD DAY

I can confirm, OPM (and DFAS) struggles way more than they should with accounting. So many clients have been overpaid or underpaid. They eventually discover mistakes, but months and years down the line. Nothing like telling a retiree they need to pay back tens of thousands of dollars they were overpaid.

Basic, fundamental rookie mistake. The U.S. gov and your data are safe with the DODGE coders inside the sensitive IT system.

    https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy...s-quickly-realize-it-can-be-edited-by-anyone/

"An official website of the United States government," reads small text atop the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) website that Elon Musk's team started populating this week with information on agency cuts.

But you apparently don't have to work in government to push updates to the site. A couple of prankster web developers told 404 Media that they separately discovered how "insecure" the DOGE site was, seemingly pulling from a "database that can be edited by anyone."

One coder couldn't resist and pushed two updates that, as of this writing, remained on the DOGE site. "This is a joke of a .gov site," one read. "THESE 'EXPERTS' LEFT THEIR DATABASE OPEN," read another.

But in rushing, DOGE appears to have skipped security steps that are expected of government websites. That pattern is troubling some federal workers, as DOGE has already been dinged by workers concerned by Musk's team seizing access to sensitive government information and sharing it in ways deemed less secure. For example, last week, Department of Education officials raised alarms about DOGE employees using personal emails viewed as less secure than government email addresses, seemingly in violation of security protocols. These personal emails also seemed to shroud the true identities of DOGE staffers, whereas other government employees must use their full names in official communications.

So far, it's clear that DOGE has gained access to data systems at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the US Agency for International Development, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Education, and the US Treasury. And most recently, DOGE got software approval to potentially transfer "vast amounts of data" out of the Department of Labor’s systems, NBC News reported.

Yes. It's horrible that not only do they have access, they have already sought to cover up funding these agencies are using and for the items they are using it for.

Constitutionality is a different area that should be debated, but the danger of limiting and restricting oversight is probably even worse.

This is why dems are being left behind... address the microaggressions and semantics while ignoring the core of the argument. Not coming forth with any argument at all other than Elon hitler orange man hitler everything is a dog whistle for hitler bla bla

We're constantly showered with evidence. More than ever before due to the nature of social media. The receipts are LITERALLY posted on a daily basis.

If you need a fellow media cohort to convince you, here goes

So You Want Proof of Government Fraud - WSJ

Again, I don't agree with Republicans on many topics.... but this is something where if you have problems with it, you are part of the embezzlement scheme of kickbacks and bureacratic sloth. It should invigorate you to know this disease is being removed from our nation's foundation and taxpayer's don't have to suffer from a ballooning deficit. May I ask what you do for a living and how much you make ??

Re: the Doge incel greasebutts illegally firing all of DOE nuclear safety -

When I was growing up - 3 months ago, this was the kind of thing that got you sent to jail or deported, in Elon's case

    It's just a courier team.

    Nuclear Materials Courier Series 0084

    Experience Requirements
For all positions in this series applicants must have had 1 year of experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level that demonstrated the ability to:

    • Learn, comprehend, and apply courier rules, regulations, laws, general and special orders, and administrative procedures relating to protection and security systems; and
    • Communicate effectively in person-to-person contacts.

They have lengthy severance packages and will likely be reassigned to leaner structures if good performers.

And they will be replaced by a far more efficient structure. When you make mountains out of molehills constantly, you aren't taken seriously.

It's all part of the process.

    TRUST THE PROCESS

“The thing that I can’t get over is that the actual richest man in the world directed my ****ing firing. I make $50k a year and work to keep drinking water safe. The richest man in the world decided that was an expense too great for the American taxpayer.”

The WSJ article is behind a paywall, but I see it references: "A Government Accountability Office report last spring estimated that the 'federal government could lose between $233 billion and $521 billion annually to fraud.'" A quick search confirms this refers to the study linked below.

This study was conducted during the Biden Administration, which published the report along with its recommendations. Notably, there has been no corresponding study or proof of fraud presented by DODGE. One key recommendation from the report was to collaborate with the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE). However, the chair of CIGIE, along with several other independent inspectors general, was removed recently. This has left a significant gap in independent oversight of government operations - oversight that is critical to detecting and addressing fraud, corruption, abuse, and illegal activities.

Fraud and corruption in government (and pretty much every o) are undeniable, which is why independent inspectors general and other internal watchdogs are essential. Without them, how can we ensure the government itself isn’t engaging in corruption, abuse, fraud, or other illegal actions? Are we just supposed to take their word for it?

Fraud Risk Management: 2018-2022 Data Show Federal Government Loses an Estimated $233 Billion to $521 Billion Annually to Fraud, Based on Various Risk Environments | U.S. GAO

    Recommendations
GAO is making two recommendations to OMB—one in collaboration with the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE) and the other with agency input to improve the availability of fraud-related data. GAO is also making a recommendation to the Department of the Treasury to expand government-wide fraud estimation, in consultation with OMB. OMB generally agreed with the recommendations but disagreed with the estimate. GAO believes the estimate is sound, as discussed in the report. CIGIE stated it would work with OMB to consider how OIGs might improve fraud-related data. Treasury agreed with the recommendation.

Remember how Trump thinks wounded and killed soldiers are "suckers" and "losers" and that disabled people should just die?

David Rice, a disabled Army paratrooper who has been on probation since joining the U.S. Department of Energy in September, also learned Thursday night that he had lost his job.

Rice, who has been working as a foreign affairs specialist on health matters relating to radiation exposure, said he’d been led to believe that his job would likely be safe. But on Thursday night, when he logged into his computer for a meeting with Japanese representatives, he saw an email saying he’d been fired.

“It’s just been chaos,” said Rice, 50, who had just bought a house in Melbourne, Florida, after he got the job.

Rice said he agrees with the Trump administration’s goal of making the government more efficient, but objects to the random, scattershot approach being taken.

Elon Musk’s business empire stands to benefit from his ties to president Trump 2.0

    • X, formerly twitter
      • as recently as early 2024, due to steep deline in advertising revenue, Musk had floated the idea of bankruptcy.
        • since Trump won the election
          • team Trump has been using X as a primary channel for major announcements.
          • Instead of traditional press briefings, Trump’s administration is posting key policy updates directly on the platform. Elon has also turned X into a battleground against federal bureaucracy,
          • major advertisers have returned, reversing X’s financial decline just like that.
    • SpaceX gains even more federal contracts

    • Elon’s 7,000-satellite Starlink network played a role in Ukraine’s war effort, has growing influence in Taiwan, and is increasingly caught in international disputes.
