Man, of course he's going to come back, after he heals up and everything, he's not gonna end his career without passing the first round and most importantly winning the championship. what a silly question by the OP.
I think his injuries, including physical and mental, and mental injury is much serious than physical injury, wheater can come back or not all depend on hishelf, we cant predict
I wonder what Tracy's reaction would be if these other doctors recommend the same treatment instead of another plan. If the initial diagnosis is correct, Tracy is just looking for someone to tell him what he wants to hear, which is, "sit out until you feel better". If the new doctors find something that was missed before, we have a completely different scenario.
Thanks to T-Mac's gynecology, I think Artest is already tighter with the team than Tracy is. It's getting to be like a Yao-Artest core with Tracy on the fringe.
Now you're just being bias. He wants an easy way out, but that doesn't mean he wants to sit. So leave your hating for a post that hates. McGrady is looking for a miracle doctor like the back doctor. IMO, the back doctor did nothing, it was psychological. So hopefully, we'll see a "miracle doctor" here is a well. People here are over exaggerating the situation. Everyone here claims McGrady just wants to sit, but in truth he just wants to play without a sore knee, since he is probably tired of playing with soreness for the past 5 months.
No its all mental. He needs a good sports pyschologist instead of another knee doctor. I never thought I would say this up until the last few weeks, but Morey needs to start listening for trade offers when it comes to T-Mac. Do you honestly think that the rockets can win an NBA championship with one of there main cogs so mentally weak? They would have to win 4 playoff series (16 games) against guys the likes of Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobli and Kevin Garnetts of the world who all act as if your trying to take food from their plate everytime they step on the court. All those guys mentioned above have a killer instinct and it will take total 100% mental toughness to sit them down this summer. Does T-Mac have what it takes to do that?
Tracy is going through some personal things right now is all I can tell you guys....Trust me on this I know for a fact that the man is going through some **** right now and we all know how he deals with of the court problems
Ugh, are you serious? Tell him the best way to deal with personal stuff is to take it out on your opponent on the floor. DD
I am really serious.....when I heard what was going on it shocked the crap out of me.....then I thought about how fragile he is mentallly
Without divulging anything you don't want to say about it, how did you come about the information, and how long do you think it will effect his pyschy? DD
my wife best friend is involved with tracy's wife with a basketball organization....they all go and eat dinner from time to time and they are over to his house at times.....
Why would you say something like that? The guy just needs to fight through some stuff physchologically.... I would think that being part of a team would be the best medicine for anything he is going through. DD
DD when people say things like that you must ignore it and move on....some people just don't have any basketball knowledge at all
what i get from that has nothing to do with "will power", the statements are clearly indicating he has no faith in anything the houston rockets medical staff has to say and only if another doctor not affiliated with the club confirms the rehab plan will he go through with it. why should he trust them? does he have a good track record with them ... say last season?
I don't know about what's going on in his personal life. But the doctors have advised that McGrady play through it. From his quotes, McGrady has grown increasingly frustrated with the process. It's like a child who's being told to drink some bitter medicine. They take a few cautious sips, but they grow increasingly whiny about it as its going down. There hasn't been any set back for T-Mac the last week. His knee isn't any worse now than it was at the start of the season, from what I understand. He's just become impatient. That, to me, points to a lack of willingness to persevere. And it's totally consistent with his personality of always wanting to look for the shortcut.
Hmm. As much as I want to rail on Tracy McNoHeart, if this is true then it does put things in a slightly different perspective. Argh, must not say anything heartless because I'll feel horrific if we ever learn what he's going through. Damn you GOAT, damn you.
still at the end of the day, he feels pain. and that's something the doctors can't really dispute. only t-mac truly knows t-macs body. So he gets that benefit of the doubt. Is a big part of it mental? Yes, but basketball is a mental game, and if you don't feel right it can impact you in big ways. If he needs to sit out and rehab his knee - and that's the way to get him back to 100% - then so be it. At the end of the day it's up to him.
I would feel sorry for him too but it doesn't change the disappointment of another second round of 05-06. Players go through things off the court all the time and don't allow it to affect their game. Ron Artest's daughter was diagnosed with cancer and he kept playing with the same intensity. I don't want to see McGrady's problems spilling on the court where you can see he rather be somewhere else again.
