I still think Pistons is the funniest name for a basketball team. Spark Plugs would have been much better.

Pistons is one of my favorite team names. Very masculine.

    My favorites:

    Rockets
    Pistons
    Rockets
    Hawks
    Bulls
    Trailblazers
    Rockets
    Rockets

    Least favorites:

    Nuggets
    Hornets
    Nets
    Jazz
    Rangers
    Cowboys
Mavericks (used to like this nickname)
Spurs (come on, named after something you use to make a horse start walking)

Just remember, nothing is more powerful than a Rocket!

but the magical conveyor-belt runway can stop it from lifting off, assuming you put wheels on the rocket.

A few years ago I remember telling my dad that the Lakers originally were the Minneapolis Lakers for the 10,000 lakes but he didn't believe me and has stuck with that the Lakers means "LA-er's" with the 'K' added to make it roll off the tongue. I love my dad but he can be really stubborn at times.

There were trolleys in LA. Of course they were all sold off by the time the Dodgers moved there.
