Bingo! Neither are starters, both are hugely overvalued. Maybe not as little as five minutes, but they shouldn't be playing major minutes.

I think out of all the people on this BBS, Hayesfan might be THE poster most entitled to "stomp on someone else's intelligence". At least from what I've seen. Which, believe me, is quite a lot.

The loyalty to our starters can be a bit astounding at times. Even when it's clearly not working, they continue to stay in the game and become even more exhausted, and performance that was already low continues to decline. Battriza is clearly not working.

I just feel like we are not getting the most out of our players. We have some great pieces, but sometimes we don't even get to see them in action, and before we know it, they've been dealt out again. I really hope the rotation changes tonight or in the near future. I think it's the only way to turn this team around. We can do a lot with what we have, but they're got to stop feeling so obligated towards certain players, like Battier and Hayes (as much as we love them).

Exactly dude, we finally have some nice young bigs in 6'10 Hill(22) & 6'11 Armstrong(25) and were still playing 6'6 chuck at center...SMH

Proposed line up for rest of the year...

    Aaron/ Kyle
    Martin/ Temple
    Ariza/ C-Bud
    Scola/ Hill / Hayes
    Armstrong/ Andersen

okay so now that people can read it... I think you are reading way too much into what coach did on his first game with the new players.

Adelman has a tendency to stick to what he knows... he knows the players he started the game with. He knows exactly what he will and will not get from them. It isn't some sense of feeling that Chuck and Shane are entitled to get PT, it's because he knows what he will get from them to contribute to a win. And that's his goal to win games. Coaches that don't win games lose their jobs.

Secondly, Martin said he didn't believe he deserved to start last night. In his first interview on the radio he laughed and said he didn't feel like he should walk in a start. Plus he wasn't the only "name" traded that didn't start. Jamison didn't either. Though I doubt he was ever intended to.

Lastly, your screen name, though based in fact, is really, really not cool.

Battier and Hayes should not be playing at ALL.
