it’s no so much about screwing the rockets as it is about helping the warriors get in to the playoffs. Rockets don’t have a marketable star anymore so they gotta help Steph curry get in. It’s just business

Then why would they also “rig” the Dallas-Warriors game for the Mavs to win on the same night?

People spend so much energy trying to make unrelated random events into some grand conspiracy. Human error and/or pure incompetence are much more likely reasons for whatever missed call you see on any given night.

Refs also miss calls against the other team, but as homer fans, we don’t notice, care, or keep track of the ones that benefit us. It’s just human nature.

They missed 1 call, a call that they would have reversed had it been reviewable. They reversed a call when draymond fouled josh richardson and didnt even do a jump ball they gave the warriors outright possesion

    1. The House always wins. If there are people gambling, bookmakers make money.

    2. Why does the NBA care? Nobody places a bet with them.

Nothing beats Durant 5 steps out of bounds to save the ball.

As bad as this was, Game 1 the next year might have been worse. Harden shoulda got 12 free throws just on Klay coming under him shooting threes. And by definition that should be called a flagrant foul.

They’ve got to fix the stupid f***** challenge system. There is ZERO excuse for that not to be reviewed. They need to adopt the NFL style where it’s booth reviews inside 2 min.

Yeah if anything these type of games are the perfect to rig because the spread is so small that 1-3 possessions is everything.

They’re not making any money right now due to covid and shut down. There a lot of Luka Fans... he was being showcased at the beginning of the season, now he’s being exposed... so they gotta juice him up. NBA is all a show. It’s just like WWE. It’s hust a show - not a real sport anymore. Follow the money.

in just the past 2-3 years, adam silver and the nba partnered with over 20 sports betting operators.

they are absolutely trying to control outcomes of games (even the relatively meaningless ones between crap teams), and anyone who thinks not is incredibly naive. until adam silver is gone and someone who actually has a backbone and some integrity takes over, i can only see the nba getting worse.

Some time referees are just bad. I think the game crafting is specifically saved for the playoffs. I mean Sac/LA was just ****ing brutal. Wade against the Mavericks. I wanted Dallas to lose and still thought that was embarrassing. Obviously Game 7 against the Warriors. Game 6 wasn’t very good either.

Welcome to the LAST 10 YEARS OF ROCKETS BASKET BALL!!!!!

I guess people thought "OH HARDEN MAKES THE REFS SWALLOW THEIR WHISTLES! HARDEN IS A EVIL DEMON!!!"
"THERE IS A REASON HE IS THE *ONLY* PLAYER WHO'S FREE THROWS GO DOWN IN THE PLAYOFFS!!!"
"They call it different in the playoffs."
Did John think that they would be different cause Harden is gone???? THIS IS STILL HOUSTON !!!1

I been told CHAMPIONS PLAY THROUGH IT!!!!
    NEVER COMPLAIN ABOUT REFS!!!

I’m gonna start calling these ref conspiracy theories R anon.

Yes, bad calls happen. No, Adam Silver, Xi Jinping and George Soros aren’t pulling the strings.

Ehhh the NBA rigging games is not Q-anon level nonsense. It definitely has happened, and a lot of the refs involved with what happened are still in the league. For anyone who is actually interested in this stuff, Tim Donaghys book is really good, and theres also a podcast series that came out recently that is really good. The book is called "Personal Foul" and the podcast is called "Whistleblower." I'd recommend both, but the podcast is much better than the book. The book is only written by Donaghy so it's a very one sided look at the whole thing. The podcast is a lot more informative, and isn't written to make Donaghy seem like the good guy.

They gotta add 1 more ref because LeBron is getting a little up there in years... now 8v5 may not be enough for LeBron to get it done, he needs 9v5 to be assured of his next championship.

It is okay to Ban Baseball Players for Life.

The 1918 White Sox Shoeless Joe Jackson, Pete Rose are still Banned.

In Basketball, Baseball Commissioners are signing Gambling Deals to Rig or Change the Scoreboard.

How Corrupt are they in making money. Putting Advertisements on Jerseys is embarrassing.

Putting a Jordan Logo on a Pistons Jersey.

Literally every time the Rockets lose the refs are blamed.
