    EXACTLY.

Now that the initial excitement after the trade has worn off a bit, I see this sa a move that could either put us on top or put us down as a 5-8 seed in the West. I think that some of us are ignoring what could happen if Artest pulls an Artest and goes completely off the deep end. I don't know the man, but from what I've seen from him in the past, I'm convinced that's he's not stable. So absolutely it's a desperate move--but what is wrong with that? I'm proud to be a fan of a team that is desperate enough to try anything to get to a title, and we were not in the running until this trade.

Desperate does not equal stupid. We would have been stupid not to try this, especially with not having to get rid of much.

Only two games behind the Lakers, yatta, yatta, yatta.....the Rockets were STUCK, really stuck. With Yao, without Yao, the Jazz beat them up. This team hasn't been out of the first round in thirteen years, most of those years, not even in the playoffs. Desperate, yes, that is at least how I felt as a fan. Now, I actually think we got a chance to win it all, and administer some serious payback. At some point in the games I want to see a front line of Artest, Landry, and Dorsey, just for fun. A bold move was desperately needed, a bold move was made. If it blows up, so be it, but the Rockets had to do something.

when Dallas gave up EVERYTHING to get Kidd and his nursing home membership. most thought it was Genius(look at them now). Houston can do no right. I'm tired of "what ifs".

I think the Rockets are indeed desperate, desperate to win a championship, if you're not then you won't win one.
