I don't think former employees will get alot of credit in the long run regardless.

Perfect example is Steve Patterson. He assembled most of the championship team and was then fired by Les before the start of the 93-94 season. Yet, no one ever talks about what a solid personel this guy was (keep in mind, this was before Rudy was given more control over this area).

absolutely not. in fact, he got no credit at all from most people - especially the R.O.C. that confuses me, though. why is it that chaney gets absolutely no credit, but rudy would get some credit if JVG has a winning successful team?

I'm sorry I don't have time to play your I can talk dirtier than you, games. I don't have the summer off like you.

I am Rocket fan and I've been one for a long time and I will root for them to win first and foremost. And I felt we could have done that with Rudy but that was not my decision. And he is gone. So then I hoped at least we would get LB which I considered the one coach that might be an improvement and when we lossed him I thought well at least we could get Silas or Dunleavy in that order and then maybe JVG. So we got my fourth choice maybe, but he is a Rocket now and I will support him and I hope is a better coach than I thought and if the Rockets show real improvement I will give him his due. But I am not in love with him like you.

By the way, how old are you? I'm guessing 12. I hope so cause other wise you're just a punk.

you come with attitude, you're going to receive attitude. that's just the way it is.

that's the comment that earned you the response you got. summer off? lol! i wish!

you could have left that "dig" out and just responded to the topic. that would've been the mature way to do it, old man.

btw, what makes you think you can come here, say i'm hating on someone (which you've done before, btw, and i let it slide), then call me a punk for exposing your rudy worship? i don't care if you're 85, 65, 45, or 25 years old...that's not right.

12 years old? heh... if only we could all go back to that age again...

This collection of players did not buy into RT. RT never called out a player. He was the ultimate optimist and gave his players way more slack than they deserved, proving over four years that they were there for a paycheck.

Now they have a type "A" coach who WILL sweat the small stuff. They WILL be micro-managed. They did not get it with RT. If they get it now it will be on their own. If they win it will be inspite of the coach just as they did what they wanted and ignored RT. The credit will have to go to the players, but I doubt if it will be THESE players.

I think there is going to be a major rebellion by Steve and possibly MoT and Griffin. I can see Steve creating a rift between himself along with a couple of others and the rest of the team. Mobley, Rice, Posey, Yao and even Norris and Cato will grow tired of Steve's stuff. When that happens, Steve will have to make a choice because this team can win without him. I hope it happens sooner rather than later. This team has great talent and depth. It will be great when they all start playing together.
