Seems like it. If he's hot, we usually win. If not, the results vary. Although, I'm amazed how he makes those leaning, one footed 3 pointers from time to time.

    ENABLERS

Of course we win when he shoots less 3's.
Thats when Yao gets the ball and the team PASSES more and doesn't jack up 3's the REASON for this entire thread.

I don't get why every one was mad that Tmac didn't drive more, YET Ron, who is not even a better shooter than TMac, is allowed to jack at will as long as he.......BS.

He pays the price just like if Yao went 5 for 22!

RON APOLOGISTS.........where have I heard that expression before?

Ron need to attack the basket more, just like he did at NO the 2nd half, he should score at the free throw line... His 3's are not consistent enough.

I'm just puzzled by why Artest, who has a strong body like LBJ, likes to shot difficultly in the outside. Such things only can be done by Kobe.

I want to see him post up more than throwing poor shots. Never forget his heroic play in 2nd OT of Dec. 27 game vs. Jazz.

maybe you should try shooting the 3 from the arc, I would pay you 18m per year if you could do a better job than Ron.

anyone even kobe cannot shoot well when he is tired. Ron always takes the job of guarding the no.1 scorer of our opponent, which reasonably costs tons of energy. as a result Ron doesn't shoot well at the other end of the floor, and that's why I want Rick to play Wafer as our starting SG with shane playing off the bench. we need to keep pressure on Kobe and we also need a not-tired Ron to play vigorously in offense, so we have to limit Ron's time to around 36min/g which should include at least 24min with shane guarding Kobe, I mean the time we play Ron on Kobe should be limited to 12m in order to save him more energy for offense.

Honestly i don't think he lives and dies with the three ball. If he was shooting horrible from the three then i doubt he would be shooting it as much as he is but he is one of our best threee point shooters. Yeah he has had a few bad games but many good ones so i don't mind him shooting the threes.

well I was joking, for sure I wouldn't pay even one penny to a douchebag. Ron deserves much more than he actually earns, I hope he will get a more profitable contract from les when his current one expires this summer.

Honestly I think this team lives or die on how well we play defense. That goes for Ron Artest as well, there are games where he plays elite defense and then there are games where an inferior group of players manage to score repeatedly off of him and the rest of the team. They then over try on the offensive end instead of improving their defensive efforts.

Smart play has defense at its core, which is why we win most games where we play defense, at least for two out of the four quarters instead of throwing up a bunch of shots.

Uh-oh, Artest is having one of those games. I guess with a 20 point lead it's not as bad, but we better not let the Clips get back into the game.

I think Ron is a solid 3 point shooter. His 3 pointers tonight were open, and one was a 2 for 1 situation. I would have rather Brooks taken that one, but Artest is not a bad 3 point shooter. Unlike Rafer Alston's 3 ball, I expect Artest's to go in.

He's the one-man team 80% of the time whether he on or off. But his defense tenacity and toughness is why ppl don't crucify him. :p

Anyone that doesn't want Ron Artest back isn't thinking basketball. He is a fantastic player and a great guy to have on the team. The only problem is that he isn't a second option player on offense, something that he is/has to be on the Rockets. He isn't getting paid to be a superstar so stop expecting 25/7/7 on 45% shooting. The person who is getting paid that money is getting 0/0/0 and $23 million.

Ron Artest, however, is giving us a star's effect in terms of results. I just hope that it can carry over to the playoffs. The Rockets have one of the best records since all-star break.

Some people here need to not come here after losses/bad games because all they do is point fingers. The Rockets can't and won't win every game. That's not how it works. Some games will be ugly losses. The team was never expected to win every game, not even with a prime T-Mac.
