His shooting% would go up but his efficiency in points scored per shot would go down even lower. The 3's by themselves aren't the problem.
Or even look at his whole statline. There will be improvements in all areas. But I thikn that just goes with playing more of a 1st or 2nd fiddle than a 3rd/4th one.
someone's reading the boards  http://www.thedreamshake.com/2009/12/4/1185115/is-a-certain-rocket-being-haunted?ref=yahoo
The Nets suck plain and simple. Devin Harris has been the best thing going for that team since he got traded there from Dallas and with the loss of Vince Carter, their offense was dumped on the laps of him and Chris Douglas-Roberts. Literally, no one else seems to be able to step up and after Harris got injured, Rafer who is more of a good defender and passing PG, with a streaky shot is now their number 1 or 2 options. You can't put the blame on a guy that actually went out and put up a triple double in against a former team for the fact that everyone else on the team doesn't step up enough on the defensive end or offense to win.
Jay (Hartford) J.A. - when do you think Artest is going to show up as an upgrade over Ariza for this season? In the playoffs? I thought at the time that Ariza would be the better long-term investment, but that Artest would be better in the first year or two, but so far Artest hasn't provided much. Your thoughts? J.A. Adande (3:33 PM) Don't get caught up in Ariza's big scoring increase. He's shooting a bad fg% to get there. (although Artest at the line isn't much better). Artest's real value will show if the Lakers have to see LeBron or Paul Pierce in the Finals. Artest's been a part of the best record in the league. Don't see what the problem is.
Just wanted to make sure people know you're being sarcastic before you get flamed I've had enough of this guy's 3 for 47 games. He needs to be reigned in.
In the last 11 games, Ariza has more points than shots in ONE of them. That is beyond inefficient. Anyone out there seriously believe the Ariza volume shooting experiment should continue? HE DOES NOT HAVE THE SKILLS FOR THE JOB It's abundantly clear to me, how can management not see it????
developmental year. so let trevor fire away, and not let jack from his mistakes. i know he hasn't improved one damn bit when he airballed a shot off the dribble with roy (who is 2 inches shorter) on him. i was like, please, just stop.
Sometimes I legitimately think our starting lineup would be more potent with Jermaine Taylor in his place.
no it's just how bad ariza has been offensively. imagine if we had JVG, ariza might not hit 30% of his shots in a halfcourt offense.
