Does Rafer Alston's 6yr 29M contract set the benchmark for FA PGs?

I wish I was a free agent right now. I could probably score a 6 yr, $14 million contract.

Agreed, if he can get a clean enough bill from our conservative doctors. Much better option than Snow simply because he can hit 3s even if he has never been killer from 3 range.

Yeah, if we miss out on Barry I don't want to overpay for Fisher or the like. If the FA pool really dries up, use the TE to address the situation. It also allows us to play around with guys WE REALLY want, say throw a 6 year MLE at Etan or 4-5 year deal at Arroyo and see what happens. Memphis got Posey this way and you can imagine the money that would be thrown at him now if he was a FA now.
