Does Patrick Patterson have pictures of Kevin McHale?

You guys are overreacting to a bad stretch of play from him. Last year we were saying he should be starting.

Patterson has all the skills to be a very solid player in this league. Let's see how he does in his third year in the league (the make-it or break-it year).

 

The funny thing is if Marcus starts to heat up play like he wants that position? We could have him ready for the playoffs. If they did it right now. If they lose? Oh well. Another draft pick plus Morris gets playing time to find out what he can do.

 

He has had one good game this season as I can recall. I don't know why he is out there, he looks horrible most of the time. Please, take a seat, give someone else a chance.

 

I'm not so sure:

Rebounding - NO
Shot blocking - NO
Draws fouls - NO
Post Moves - NO
Stretches Defenses with outside shooting - NO

He has two average to slightly above skills:

Mid-range jumpers
Man-to-man defense

 

when patrick throws up bricks, i feel like throwing up. ur a powerforward. get ur butt in the paint.

Now, to be fair, let's give him a summer of working with McHale and some summer league without surgery and see how he does.

No need to write him off completely after a sophomore slump....but I would like McHale to be consistent and give him some DNP-CDs.....he has been WAY inconsistent with his dog house.

I am going to fix this for you:

Carl Landry is 10X better than PPat.

 

He's playing like it's the trade deadline and his name is all over the press or something.

 

BW - I agree. I hated trading JHill and keeping Patterson.

I think about it the whole time PP is on the court.

I think he is the worst player on the team. Is there something going on with him we don't know about?

 

Patterson has the body and frame of a player that should be a BEAST, but instead he plays like a beauty.

 

Pat Pat needs to take a seat on the bench where he belongs. I can't believe he got that much playing time when he was bringing nothing to the table.

 

You don't need a post up player if you run motion offense or high PnR. In the other thread yesterday, I brought up the question and nobody answered.

Why is McHale keep force feeding Patterson in the post when Patterson can't score there? This is now affecting his mid range jumper too. His confidence is shot.

 

Marcus Morris would flourish at the four. The is the position he was meant to play. He should stop fighting it. Let go.

 

Outside of Scola probably the most accomplished post player on the team.

Ppat is rushing his shots too much. It seems like he gets too antsy and rushes. He has really regressed this year which is unfortunate. When a player is sucking as bad he has offensively, the guy needs to get benched just liked mchale did to budinger and others earlier in the season. What sucks is we have no one after him (Morris is a big 3, we can play him at the 4 but he is a better player to take you off the dribble, not post you up and thus why I view him as a 3)

 

hate to bring this up, but im pissed that the rockets traded landry and drafted this guy. patterson doesnt entirely suck, but this guy's post up game is either hit or miss. (more miss than hit) i know rookies can hit that sophmore slump, but damn we need anything we can get out this guy. i honestly think eddie griffin was a better player than patterson (for right now). at least griffin blocked shots and hit the three when he was on.
