If Harden, Westbrook, or any regular rotation player for that matter got hurt when the Rockets were up 40+ in a game that was basically impossible for them to lose at that point, D'Antoni would be fired on the spot. Thought this was common sense and didn't deserve a thread being made. I actually thought he should've taken him out sooner. Before he even got to 60 points.
n they wonder why the rating down. give the people what they want. get 80 people will watch the reg season then
MDA doesn't, but I'm pretty sure a few people on the forum do...they're just pretty quiet when he has a night like this. And James will have plenty more chances to break his career high edit: sorry, my spelling sucks sometimes
Why don't we let our second unit play during the fourth quarter of a useless game 82 against the Lakers? It's not like Mbah a Moute will injure himself on a dunk and never be the same player again.
One could easily argue he left him in longer than he should have been, No sure if James will eclipse the 81 pt mark, not because he can't more because unless it's necessary it's usual during a rout and it just looks bad. I think it would have cool if he had been able to break his own record but beyond that it was just rubbing salt in an open wound.
Do you hate clutchfans or something? You continue to give us these dookie threads on a consistent basis. Why don't you spare us of your thoughts and tweet them instead?
Harden Hate would be ten times worse if he hit 80 points by playing in the 4th quarter of a 50-point blowout.
I’m sorry that I want to see my favorite player make history and not get snubbed like he does year after year. Must suck being a harden hater!
You know what's amazing? Throughout the internet, it's almost unanimously agreed Harden could have had a 22-point last quarter. Like it's nothing lol
Hell, you shouldn't be playing any rotation player, either. MDA should have called up 5 randoms from RGV mid-game.
When Kobe got 81 the game was on the line until a few minutes to go and it took him going hot all through the second half to bring the game home. Harden is 60 at 3 quarter time and we are up by a huge margin, and we didn't even need him during the 3rd either. Massive difference.
Because long term team success matters. He was double teaming him hard anyway, they for sure wasnt letting him break a record on their asses. Kobe did it because raptors were still fighting for a win and couldnt just focus on him
Also- when Kobe scored 62 points in three quarters, he personally outscored the Mavs 62 to 61 at that point. Probably one of the most individual efforts ever on an NBA court.
