so according to your standards Dan Marino was overrated, Peyton was overrated till last year. Trent Dilfer, Mark Rypien, Doug Williams, are all better QBs than McNabb. Hey I'm all about the rings too but that's not a good argument when discussing if someone's overrated or not. Secondly I havent heard the argument that McNabb was better than Brady, nor that Reid was a better coach than Belicheck in a very very long time so why are you going to compare McNabb's situation to Brady's? Why don't you compare him to something more realistic? like the Bills of the 90s or some other almost there, but never got over the hump team/QB?
I hate the Cowboys and I have never liked TO, also I never said McNabb was a bad player I am just saying he is overrated. Of course a team like chicago would want him because he would not have to do much. I would love to see the drop off Indy would have if McNabb were the qb, now they would still be good because those WR's are a great unit but if McNabb were the qb over Manning they would not have won last year. If Brady were on the Eagles and McNabb on the Pats the Eagles would of won that super bowl. It has nothing to do with race but everything to do with the fact he is overrated and I think part of the reason folks will not go after him is because they are afriad to bash him after those comments. Those statments were true when Moon was the qb here in Houston they are not true these days and until folks like McNabb go away we will always have the issue brought up.
Brady had his weapons too during his Super Bowl years. Corey Dillon was an effective runner and and still considered a prime running back during that time. I believe one of Brady's wide receivers won the MVP award, no. Don't get me started on everything Manning's had at his disposal. The only thing this has come down to is luck and management issues. McNabb has been injury riddled while Brady and Manning have gotten by without getting injured and the Colts and Patriots management has done things in order to bring in or keep key talent while the Eagles are known NOT to do this.
HORRIBLE POINTS, go back and watch that game of the 19 he played that year that was his worst. Stats are only part of the story he choked. Just like Neil O'Donnall choked against the Cowboys (a white qb)
How do you know the result would have been different? Read my last post. Brady had his weapons, whether you choose to acknowledge them or not is a different story. Tell me how McNabb is overrated please? That pay rate comparison thing was ignorant. Please tell me quarterbacks that are above him besides Manning and Brady?
Dillon was on the downside, Brady has never had a top level WR until Moss and if any WR of his had a good game it was because of him. Manning never had a good D until they came together last season while McNabb always had help there despite not having the best weapons and all there teams are know for letting guys go and bringing in younger talent.
Wow a 1600 yard rushing season is a down year? He was better than I thought. So when those receivers McNabb had had a good game it was their own doing, McNabb was just overrated. Brady's receivers talent compared to the Eagles was better. The Pats D was ranked above the Eagles that year too.
Really? You think it was worse than his performance against the Steelers? 15-24, 109 yards, 1 INT, 0 TDs Offense scored 3 points. You're claiming his performance in the Superbowl was worse than that? It's almost like you're just making up stuff and hoping it will stick.
I pointed that out above. Oh oh but he was on a downslide. 3rd leading rusher in the league oh oh but he was on a downside. It was because of Brady.
If I have a team that's needs a qb for 1 year and McNabb is 100% healthy I still take Brady Manning Favre Palmer Brees over him and Donovan is close to the top of the second tier but not "top three material"
Because Plamer and Brees have accomplished more than McNabb with less. Man you keep on reaching. Palmer has had Johnson and Johnson and a very talented group of wideouts. Brees had, well just LT, Bush, McAllister, and a number of others on his teams. Keep trying.
YOUR RIGHT, I think that was a Monday night game. OK his second worst game that year. If I remember right they (Eagles) were undefeated and then got rolled by the Steelers so yes I stand corrected on that 1 game. He played a terrible super bowl imo
