Say what you will about Barkley's on-air persona and Rocket bashing, but he was a freaking awesome Forward, top five all time. We got him when his downside had just started, and yes, we should have won in 97, when we were robbed. I do believe that Scola has the talent to be an all-star in this league, but he won't be at the level of Barkley.

He's already better than Barkley. He knows how to pass the ball off.

Robert Horry was pretty good too and he came after Otis Thorpe in the sense that he moved from SF to PF.

Justice can't think straight. He's been drinking too much lately. And some sources say, hitting the pipe to hard as well.

    That is all.

Barkley accelerated the decline of Hakeem!!!

I consistently remember him just never taking second fiddle for Hakeem. Hakeem was still playing awesome when Chuck came to town. Immediately Chuck took the ball out of Hakeems hands. Chuck unfortunately became the first option. Why? Because Hakeem was a mild manner guy; and Chuck inserted himself as the 1st option.

Clyde saw this. And Clyde wouldn't stand for this and he retired. Charles was just a guy who was an extremely gifted guy, but a guy who would never defer for the sake of the team.
