    my feelings -

no need to take whatever artest says too seriously.

don't know if yao's comments were taken out of context or lost in translation, but i'd have worded a little more nicely if i were yao; no biggie, though.

we have the most model citizens and nice guys on the team almost to a fault. it's almost impossible not to go along with yao and other guys on our team. so if ron ron doesn't pan out, then it may be impossible for him anywhere.

my gut feeling is ron ron will work out great in htown and will get a nice long term deal after all. we've replaced the spurs as a contending team, at least for this year.

"this is yao's team. if he tells me to jump off a building, i will jump off the building."

a little sarcastic, but i find it pretty funny. who knows what ron ron is actually thinking.

if i were yao, my first greeting to ron ron when i see him in person (probably happening in a week as ron ron is holding a camp in china?) will be - "hey you, go to the hilton across the street and jump off the roof!"

The media is making a big deal out of this interview.
That's why I never trust anything read on paper.

Yao made one mistake, that is, he thought Blinebury was his friend and he can talk with him about what he really feel. Obviously, he's wrong. Back in China, he had some good media friends whom he can talk everything with w/o worry about all these stuff will be on newspapers the next day.

Those comments are typical Chinese style, cautious optimistic, all truth, nothing wrong. But the wording is not as good as it should be. He should learn a lesson from this. And I'm pretty sure he'll communicate with Rockets and Artest very soon to clear up everything.

"I can't wait to play with Tracy McGrady, and I can't wait to play with Shane Battier and the rest of the guys like Rafer Alston. I just can't wait."

This quote worried me most. How can he want to play with Shane and Alston ahead of Yao. He must have something with Yao in his mind.

poke the bear baby. good job yao. he just called it like he saw. this goes back to the thread i started. the issue is there if you choose to avoid it thats one thing. but yao stepped up and basically said this

"I'd love to take artest but that dude has got to leave his baggage at the door."

I don't see the problem right now. It's very interesting that someone has already spark fire before the trade is officially announced. I think the journalists and some of the fans are a harder headcase than RonRon.

He all but kissed Yao's ass. He's obviously trying to make an effort. We know that Yao's an easy person to get along with, and from what I understand, Artest is not a bad lockerroom guy. Crazy for sure, but not a chemistry problem.

Now Morey's got the hard job ... keeping him happy with the "commitment". Playing ball as his teammate will be the easy part.

Correct me if I am wrong....I didn't see a word mentioning that he couldn't wait to play with Yao. Does that mean something?

Blinebury wanted to write his story focusing on the concerns about Artest's past. So, he asked questions in such a way to force Yao to comment on it, knowing that Yao is too honest to just dodge them. Effectively, his column is an opinion piece disguised as a report on Yao's reaction.

I think it's been blown out of proportion. Even Artest said he realized the media twisted Yao's words. He also said he and Yao talked and are cool now.
