Does Houston have a problem? Artest responds to Yao comments

generally this is true but how many dudes in the NBA are ron artest? most dudes dont come with a trainload of baggage and have a history of going up into the stands.

the last guy who was as destructive yet productive for a team i can think of is rodman and jordan and pippen kept that cat on a short leash.

to pretend all that stuff in detroit never happened is nuts. best is to get it out there and move on. if yao comes out and says **** again it's a problem. but getting it out there on behalf of the team, then moving on/building rapport is fine... I mean he's basically saying "this stuff is out there... but we're glad to have him if that's all behind him." what's wrong with that. to me that's better than pretending it's not in the back of your mind. at minimum artest is going to get it into his head that yao will be straight with him

咬碎了满口的牙也跑不过人家，干嘛不歇一歇?每当我看见你站在罚球线用大胳膊撑着大身子喘着粗气的时候
就觉得你更傻了!!你说你篮板又不一定抢得到，费那种力气干嘛呀？在板凳上休息多痛快啊，或者回来打水平不
是很高的CBA不也能落一清闲吗？反正你努力不努力都发那么多的钱，你为谁拼命啊？真傻.......

表扬啊？显得自己与别人不同是吧？于是你成就了当今NBA技术犯规罚球靠中锋来罚的先例！于是又有人说了
你也只是站着能投.....别人得分手段太多了，就你一个人站投，有用吗？你指望每场比赛没有人看你啊？于是姚
明又有可半转身的后仰，勾手，倚人转身突破等多种得分手段......得分也有了很大的提高。但还是有人说，姚明
跟本就不行，你就是个打球的，跟本不配做当家的，跟本就不是球星，只配当蓝领只能做板凳......谁说不是呢？你一点天赋都
没有！你有帕克的速度吗？你有乔丹的领袖气质吗？你有科比的神奇吗？你有詹姆斯独挡一面的能力吗
？你有纳什的大局观吗？你有诺维斯基的投篮准吗？你有卡特的弹跳吗？你都没有！！！你说，你自己说.......你拼命努
力有什么用啊!？你能赶上他们吗？即使你每场20+的水平又有什么用，上面的人你一个也比不过不吧?努力改

He heard him. He even posted Artest's comments from his radio apperance on his blog 30 minutes before he posted his "Artest fumes at Yao's comments" on the main Sac Bee sports page.

I think he purposely post that article, he just enjoyed the highest hitting rate ever in his last 2 entries, he wants to save Ron Ron's radio show for his next article. He knews plenty of Chinese fans are checking in now.

 

So it looks like Sacramento has their version of Richard Justice, too...

 

I don't think this whole thing is a big deal at all and they will get along just fine - it's impossible not to get along with Yao.

However, I would like to take this opportunity to reiterate that I cannot stand Fran Blinebury and that he is a very bad writer and that his attempts at metaphoric expressions are beyond ridiculous.

 

Jezz, I read those remarks yesterday by Yao and never thought they'd get blown this far out of proportion. Jezz, talk about the media making a mountain out of a mole hill.

I don't see a big issue here. Ron basically said "I'm ghetto, and that isn't going to change. And once Yao gets to know me we will be all good". Did we not already know that Ron was ghetto?

He states time and time again that it's T-Mac's and Yao's team, and that he will do whatever they or Rick asks. And we all know Yao isn't the type of player to cause drama in the locker room. So I don't think we have anything to worry about.

I love that he is willing to come off the bench, and wants to be here long term (the trade is a steal if he stays long-term and doesn't go bonkers). I hate that the interviewer kept pressing to try to get a negative reaction. He basically asked the same question at least 5 times, even though Ron kept giving a PC answer (minus the I'm ghetto part). I hate reporters like that....

Ron Artest is much savvier than he looks, Yao is not.
