Does Giannis have Houston and San Antonio on top of his list?

Giannis doesn't have total control here, but Giannis to SA from his perspective is a major risk. You don't know what you don't know. Comparitively, the Rockets have a proven track record. And this is about winning. SA has too many question marks.

No gonna lie. As much as I like Giannis, I don’t like the idea of shortening our window by dealing most of our assets for a 31yr old non- shooter.

Rockets and Spurs are quite possible if Giannis cares about no state income tax.

I suppose Shams will have something to say about his preferred destinations later this week.

So the Rockets plan is: Jalen shot his trade value in the foot and they're going to play hard to get? Hahahaha

So who's going to ask for Green then, a team that just saw him have a terrible playoff series and hears the Rockets want a lot for him? LOL!

If you're going to come up with a conspiracy, make it a good one like: Jalen Green and Ime Udoka are both represented by CAA.

From the Bucks perspective look at how much of a leg up Houston has for them.

Keep in mind that Milwaukee does not control most of their future picks so tanking just isn’t in the cards for them. Getting back a young all
Star level talent for them is HUGE. The spurs obv aren’t going to part with Wemby. That defeats the purpose.

The Rockets though almost surely would seemingly give up one of Sengun or Jalen… who while flawed are all star level talents especially in the East, and allows Milwaukee the ability to compete and get vastly younger with picks from other teams to load up on draft talent.

To me this isn’t even close unless the Bucks are in love with Castle.

Obviously this starts with what Giannis wants but in regards to what the Bucks would want and need, I don’t think it’s a close call that the Rockets would have to be the preferred destination unless they are just in love with another player they can get from another team like Zion from NOLA, Morant from Mem, Butler from GS, etc. which I doubt but who knows… Nico Harrison really wanted Anthony Always Hurt Davis so you never really know but we can all use logic here.

Most of our assets? We're very rich, it won't even be half of our assets.

Sengun, Amen, Jabari, Tari, Green, Whitmore, Sheppard
We have what 7 tradable picks right now? 2 of them excellent? And a swap I believe?

Will probably be 1/3rd of our assets. It's a lot I agree. Just pointing out we'll be aite in terms of depth and assets.

Yeah that's stupid. There is no conspiracy. Ime likes guys that give it their all on and off the court. Jalen isn't going to be traded unless it is for a superstar like Giannis. They aren't giving him up for peanuts. Sengun will only be traded if it's for Giannis and the rest of the package is reasonable. I really think the Rockets make an attempt to sign one shooter with the MLE, resign FVV, and run it back. I think it is the wrong move, but Ime is in control of this team and he absolutely loves both FVV and Jalen.

The only way you'd trade for Giannis is if you want to go double big and pair him with Sengun.... but if you did that you couldn't play Amen AND you'd need to find some shooters to surround them with.

Honestly it doesn't make a lot of sense.

    I don't know what's worse..

Giving up all our assets for Giannis and hoping a magical fit works (Ime salivating, I'm sure)

    or

Picturing Giannis on the Spurs with Wemby+Fox or on an OKC superteam with SGA+JWill+Chet.

If he goes to OKC we're never beating them to get out of the West unless we land Flagg this lottery.

This is the issue with betting. What in the bloody **** do the Warriors have to offer in a deal for Giannis?? Other than "vibes", the Warriors and Lakers have no business being on a short-list in terms of who can realistically offer viable assets. And what's even more annoying is as I say this, I can already see the Shams Bomb that Giannis has been dealt to the Lakers for Austin Reaves, Jaxon Hayes, and a first.

If this happens im sure alot of people will write off the nba. Whats the point.
Thing is now is players decide now where they go, which is bad for the league.

Why am I seeing Jokic as more of a target for smart Presti than Giannis......

I'd be very tempted to boycott the league, if Giannis is traded to the Lakers or GSW. I doubt it happens though, because damn near every fan outside of California would be screaming fix. It might even get some folks to put up private investigator money to get some dirt and sue the league.

Oh I think you're underestimating how bad it can get.

I do not believe OKC will trade Chet and have Giannis, SGA, Dort and a non-shooting C on the floor together. Presti is not stupid. So the Thunder and Spurs can offer: mediocre contracts and multiple good but not great picks.

We can beat that offer with FVV + Tari + a great pick. A better pick than the other 2 teams have. That leaves us with:

    Sengun
    Giannis
    Brooks
    Green
    Amen

Then we can say goodbye to next season as we waste 1/3rd of Giannis remaining good years and Amen's potential breakout season. Udoka can win the rebounding championships easily and be shocked that teams just pack the paint even more.

Remember when Stone said in the post season presser "one thing is, I don't think there's on way to win in the NBA". I'm terrified what he means is we could actually double down further on the rebounding thing and try to win as the worst shooting team in modern NBA history.

Personally I don't think Green is going anywhere. He's a marginal improvement in 3PT% away from being a 37-38% shooter on 8-9 attempts. He was 40% on a very good volume of catch and shoot 3's. If you're getting Giannis, you obviously keep Jalen.

I'm mostly worried for the non-shooters because Giannis will demand shooters around him. Superstars don't f*ck around when the world expects them to put up 30ppg. There's a reason why he approved Jrue for Lillard. He knows he needs shooters.

If you can get that for Giannis you do it in a heartbeat. Then you turnaround and use other picks and Jalen and the rest of your picks to re-balance the roster. Of course, we could just jettison Ime and FVV, use our picks to re-balance the roster and get a more balanced coach (but it won't happen this year, but next year after we have the same result with FVV and Ime running the team).

It’s gonna come down to if the Rockets are willing to trade Sengun or not.

After the lottery the only hope of getting him, if he is in play for us, is if he explicitly wants to play for us over the Spurs for whatever reason or if the Spurs don't want to trade #2 pick and the Bucks are demanding it.

If they get him unfortunately I think you can forget our championship dreams.

Unfortunately, the NBA seems to have darlings and with Flagg in Dallas and Wemby in SAS we'll be nothing but a 'Hard nosed team' and tough out and that's it, just a roadblock for those other two teams.

I think after the lottery the team should be a bit more aggressive. If we had a top 5 pick I'd say F it, we ride, draft Tre and roll with it, but that's not happening.
