Giannis is going to be a Spur. It’s a done deal.

Not that it matters anymore since Giannis is almost a lock for SA, hell even Dallas before Houston, but you could turn around Alpy,Cam, Reed, future pick for Booker and that would be a much better fit. This assumes Mil wanted Green +#10 instead of Alpy in the Giannis trade which also just doesn't seem likely. Why would Mil not want our best player and the #10? And why would we do the deal to pair Giannis with a bunch of kids and a bad Jalen Green? The embarrassing Slam Dunk Contest and the embarrassing playoffs. He aint gonna want that light on him anymore. I think it'll do major damage to whatever he could have developed into. He's done. Plummeted value and eroded potential. Mil would just take #2, #10 and filler from SA instead or hell maybe even Dallas does the crazy and trades Cooper for Giannis to pair with AD and Ky.

I don't see the Rockets getting anyone significant. Suns i see rebuilding. Not around a 29 year old Booker despite what each party says about staying, but i dont see them interested in rebuilding with one of our guys. Two? Maybe? Alpy alone prob wont interest them. Green after that playoff bed wetting? Not a chance. They'd prob want Alpy and Bari to start. Again, just doesn't make sense to pair a star with a gutted team. We're toast with SA and Dallas and OKC and of course Joker and LeBron and Curry and more still in the West.

Our rebuilding wagon got shot dead in its tracks just as it started to pick up momentum. Call me a pessimist but i think we fall down to bottom of playoff seeding or play-in again next season. Losing as a #2 seed which wasn't a real #2 in such a competitive West is more detrimental at our age than if we were a 5th, 6th seed and got swept and they took it as a learning exp.

The only player i can see possible is Murray if Denver loses. He cripples their chances to put something around Joker's final prime years. Murray has all star level potential but injury prone with an ugly contract, but is a clutch playoff performer. 1 year younger than Book. The upside to prove himself on his own and become an all star?

****...i mean...i can't believe i'm saying this but at this point i'd actually consider Harden's return as long as we got a clutch playoff performer for when Harden disappears when we need him. LAC might be in that same boat of "well...****.." after that rigged lottery. New building to pay for and no where to go but down as a roster, but they could rebuild fast keeping Powell and Zubac and trading Kawhi and Harden for young pieces.

Not being in the trade talk with Giannis is already a win. Giannis really relies on his freak athleticism which doesn’t last long, Russ fell off very fast soon as he was over 30 and Giannis won’t last long like KD nor LeBron whom has other go to moves. Since PHX will be sweating due to another team (Mavs) they crossed out will be better than them for foreseeable future so they’ll will more likely to take less for the KD if we decide to go for him, if not we get to have very good 2027 draft night

I think we can still get Giannis if he wants to come here. He might feel like we are more ready to win now than SAS and also, SAS he would not be 'the guy' so that could help in our favor. That's going to be Wemby's team for the forseeable future and him coming here he'd slot right into being #1 option until passing the torch off to Amen or something.

Honestly, no one has any idea what Giannis wants. He might get Pat Riley in his ear and go there, might want to play in LA/NYC, or maybe he really likes Ime and the Houston connection? Maybe he doesn't see himself as a fit with Wemby? No one really knows what he wants at this point.

The Rockets historically have not done a bad job attracting major FAs, long history of it, so let's just see how it plays out.

I’d love to be wrong but the narrative writes itself.

The Original Freak teams up with the Freak 2.0 to get one more for Pop!

If Giannis requests a trade he’s going to the Alamo.

Giannis and Wemby fit extremely well.

Yeah they do, but does Giannis know that? We've seen superstar players have no idea how to build a team around themselves like how Harden for instance wanted to play with Westbrook and Lebron has made some crappy decisions too. Maybe he likes our supporting cast better than San Antonio? Just saying, we have no idea what he's thinking.

It really is all up to Giannis because if he explicitly says he wants to play for a place then that's where he will go.

I still think he will stay.

I don’t think Bucks will care where he wants to go if Harper + #14 is being offered. Texas will be close enough if it’s Houston or San Antonio

Agree. The NBA is becoming predictable with their script. More than a few people including Plowman had Dallas getting the first pick. Payback for Doncic. Deal ends up Davis and Flagg for Doncic to Lakers. Spurs next super team created by NBA. Lakers / Spurs will boost attendance and ratings. NBA wins and we lose.

I’m not getting my hopes up for Giannis. He’s going to want to go to a team with an established star and amen isn’t a star yet.

Rockets better have a plan B, C, and D if Giannis and booker aren’t available. I wouldn’t mind trading for Zion or lamelo. I know they’re injury prone, but it’s a better choice than running it back with Jalen Green.

I'm pretty sure they would find a way to put talent around those guys. I'm thinking Fox would still be a Spur and the rest of the 4-5 spots would be filled in with rookies/overseas guys/vet min guys.

Trae Young - Amen Thompson - Dillon Brooks - Tari Eason - Giannis Antentokounmpo
Aaron Holiday - Reed Sheppard - Cam Whitmore - Kyle Kuzma - Jock Landale

This is what some of you want and I hate it. This team doesn't even beat the Warriors after making the play-in.

No chance Milwaukee does that. It’s gonna have to be at least two young assets like Jabari + Green + 10th pick or something like that.

Russ was done as a superstar at 28, done as a starter at 30, and done as a legit rotation player at 32 (his wizards year). Starting his age 33 season he's been one of the worst players in the league.
