^^^ Cato is rolling over in his grave. Cato played much better JVG caliber defense. Jordan Hill would have never played for JVG. Much like former #2 lottery pick/star free agent signee Stromile was eventually replaced by a D-league non-drafted player named Chuck Hayes.

Somehow because Jordan has higher expectations, it means Chase isn't a worse player?

And whilst you'd compare Chase Budinger to Steve Kerr (yeah the guy wasn't one of the best spot up shooters in NBA history...so good a shooter that he took tech foul shots over Michael Jordan).

I'm really not sure what Hill not turning out like Bosh or Amare has to do with a comparison to Budinger, in fact I know it has nothing at all to do with it, Chase is as far from Steve Kerr quality as Hill is from Amare, thing is, Amare is a better player than Kerr was.

    Logic, Learn some.

Lol everyone is judging Jordan Hill for sucking even though his time here at Houston is the only time he got to play. When he was with the Knicks he didn't even get any playing time. How can people expect Hill to perform at the highest level when he didn't get any time to improve.

Some players have to play in the NBA game for a year or two before the game slows down and comes to them, it will take at least another year to see if Hill ever gets it. I just cannot see him ever being a starter unless injuries to other players happen

the two biggest and 1's Ive noticed is Scola and Lowry. Why havent you said anything about them or made a poll. Stop the hating. For real.

Scola is the weakest fouler we have when it comes to that, like he doesnt believe in actually grabbing the dude ffs.

Comprehension, Learn some. I compared Chase's role to Brent Barry, Jud Buchler, Matt Bullard and Steve Kerr -- A SPOT UP SHOOTER. You can try to take it out of context and only mention Kerr to try and make a point but most folks on here are not idiots and will so threw your attempt.

Chase, when hitting shots like last year & the last 2 weeks of this season is fulfilling his role perfectly on this team. Jordan Hill, not so much. Hill sir is the weakest link in the rotation. I would go as far to say Jared Jefferies would be doing a better job than him on defense if given Hayes minutes. Just like he did on the Knicks.

I don't know what to make of him. He seems to be great within the first second or two with the ball, but after that, he's trouble or should I say, troubled.

I guess that's where IQ comes in....

But considering his lack of history in the basketball world, I'm going to give him the time of his contract. After that, without defensive improvement, he's out.

With Sikma, Battier, two asst coaches that were defensive players, Hayes...

Hill is still atrocious on defense... Still hasn't learned to move his feet... On offense, still doesn't have one consistent go-to move.

I vote to send him to the d-league when Jeffries comes back.

Or try and trade him for a first round pick.

    He lacks basic fundamentals.

Watching last nights game, something really struck me.

    Jordan Hill is a bust.

    Sadly.

I had really high hopes for him all the way from the moment he was still on the Knicks team getting drafted 8th, all the way to just before last night's game.

    But the cold reality struck.

Expect him to be traded soon.

I am actually really satisfied with his playing time and what he has shown.

Everyone overlooks that this guy was drafted and never got any playing time, you actually think Knicks would give up that easily on him if they thought they could quickly get an amazing player?

Yeah HE WAS 8th pick but he is a slow learner. Guy has potential nevertheless and Rockets are patient so we'll see. Can't get bad for Rockets, we got him as a sweet to the McGrady trade, something you gamble on.

This hate reminds me of Brooks hate in 07.
